Fresh, simple and sustainable food, prepared daily and fairly priced. All of our ingredients come from known suppliers, and we can trace through the supply chain, the origin of every sack of potatoes, and each piece of fish we buy. The fish we use is caught from well managed stocks in Norwegian waters and are MSC Approved. We use the best Maris Piper potatoes, sourced from locally selected farmers, and they are freshly peeled and chipped at our shop every morning.

I’ve been coming here for many years. The foods good and the wraps are a winner, especially the chicken tikka wrap . It’s worth noting that the place is only open Thursday to Saturday and if ordering directly online via their website, they won’t start to cook your order until you’ve dropped in and paid for it. Stick with either ordering in person or use the usual fast food ordering websites.

I’ve not tried this fish and chip shop before so I thought I’d give it a try.
It appears they have a good selection of things to choose from on their menu.
However, standing in the queue for a 5 minutes, I noticed a small sign saying ‘cash only’.
Now, I’m all in support for using cash where possible, however I usually use Apple Pay, I was unable to stay in the queue and had to leave. I heard a couple behind me say ‘oh it’s only cash’ and they left also.
To this, I had to get back in my car and order through the Deliveroo app, to then go back into the store to collect.
Surely, this isn’t the best for the business as Deliveroo takes a percentage? It all seems back to front. Not sure if they don’t want to pay to use a card machine or it was broken, I have no idea.
Anyways, upon picking up the food, it tasted lovely, but I asked for regular chips but I received a very small portion.
Overall, it wasn’t the best experience, fairly stressful to get a portion of fish and chips, I would most likely use another chip shop in future to save the hassle.
Side note: they do offer a gluten free option which is a bonus.

Ordered fish and chips for delivery (family of 4), and everything arrived hot and fresh. The food was lovely, and the service was great. Really impressed with the gluten-free menu—it’s been a challenge to find a good chippy that caters well to dietary needs. They also did a great job accommodating a fussy eater with a classic chicken burger. Will definitely be ordering again!

Strand fish & chips is an old favourite. Used to go there pre-pandemic when our office was in Durrington but recently rediscovered when was in the area. Chicken Tikka wraps are just as delicious, portions are just as generous and staff are as friendly and welcoming as I remember so have been few times since.
