* * A note on grades, I rate outwards from three stars **

I literally detoured to Port Angeles en route Vancouver as The Strait somehow landed on my To Try list.

This lively local spot serves up slices and pies to what seems a mostly-repeat clientele.

Good pizza; good people. Worth a visit if in the area

Passed it on my way to Goodwill and was surprised at the affordable high class slice. Ate the first in a hurry and hurried back for another later in the day.

Great crust — like a pita and a tortilla had a baby. Crispy under, soft on top beneath the toppings. Loved it. Great haven from the street and the hard work of being on the road.

They let me keep my bike on the back patio and charge my phone.

Eat here.

A unique and funky classic pizza by the slice spot. It’s a gift when a town has a place with a lot of character and solid decent sized pizza slices to go.

We had a classic cheese pizza and cookie. Both items made hungry hearts happy. It’s located at the center of town which is nice. Kid and adult beverages (a few beers on tap I believe ) and of course whole pies to go.

Could anything make this place better? Certainly it has plenty of character! And it had a community feel it it as well. No one would complain about slightly bigger slices, that’s for sure. Would we drop by again if in town? Simply put, yes.

Hot Tip:
After enjoy some pizza (or take with) head to Ediz Hook to enjoy beautiful views. Better yet, go enjoy the sunset!

Pizza is good, crust is thin and crispy and the slices are large. Two 18” pizzas fed a group of 6. We got a build-your-own (see picture) and A Meeting of the Swines. ~$30 per pizza.
Staff were friendly, but the place seemed understaffed. The initial wait after ordering was 20-30 minutes, but waiting for the second pizza took another 20. Smaller slices seemed to be prioritized and served earlier.
Atmosphere is great! Strait Slice is a smaller joint, but has outdoor seating. The interior is decorated and well lit and has a friendly atmosphere.
Overall, decent pizza, fairly priced, and good ambiance, but poor service and long wait times.

Stopped in on our way back home from Cape Flattery. We built our own pizza and waited about 25 minutes for it to be ready which is a normal time for a cook from scratch pizza. We got half A Meeting of the Swines, and half with lots of veggies and ham.

It’s a thin style crust with rustic edges so it’s definitely close to my preferred style. I love the size of the slices (big!) and they offer coke in a bottle from Mexico. I wish they had a few more meat items as most of it is pork, pork, and pork. While not dissing pork, there are other great options out there, like hamburger, that could add a lot to the menu.

They do offer gluten free and vegan options.

They have a great little outdoor patio that is dog friendly, too.

Overall would go back if we were in the area.

Stopped for lunch per recommendation of my friends. Really nice little place with good service. We took pizza by the slice, the veggie special was my favorite and it was really good. Their crust is pretty nice, thin and well proved. The next for me would be the pepperoni with bacon, I forgot the name but it was great as well. The third slice we took was the meat special which was ground beef with peppers and onions. Though least in order of preference but this one was pretty good as well. My friend also recommended their calzones but the server informed me that it would take 45 minutes so maybe next time. I do recommend checking this place out.

Kids wanted some good pizza slices and we definitely found them here! Thanks Strait Slice for making proper pizza with a good crust that cracked properly when I folded my piece to devour it! Definitely would stop again next time we are in Port Angeles! The staff member working the counter was busy and multi tasking like crazy but they were friendly, listened, and were accommodating! Thanks for the pizza!

Super fun retro atmosphere with good quality pizza. They don’t mark up prices for singular slices compared to that of whole pizzas, which is nice, but they still seem a bit steep. Although, I suppose that could be said about most restaurants in Port Angeles. They have a solid selection of toppings and you can even build your own 18inch pizza.
