Reviews
We were there with friends, and between the four of us, we managed to order most of the items on this special brunch menu. I started with the burrata and prosciutto, which was anything but traditional – in the best way. It was far more interesting and delicious than expected. I also ordered the shakshuka, my go-to at Stonehouse brunches, and it absolutely delivered. For dessert, I chose the profiterole, and it was hands-down the best part of the meal. I wish I could take those home with me.
As always, the service was impeccable. Our server was genuinely warm and happy, and it showed. They kept the table perfectly managed – clearing and resetting seamlessly – and made sure our champagne, mimosa, and prosecco glasses were never empty.
The worst part? Having to leave. Granted, we spent a leisurely two and a half hours enjoying the food, the setting, and catching up with old friends.
Will we be back? Absolutely. We make it a point to come at least once a year. Stonehouse is an experience – it’s not just a meal.
The gardens were lovely to stroll through, and their signature cocktails were the perfect start. The dinner itself was beyond extraordinary among the best food I have ever tasted.
After dinner, we enjoyed a nightcap in the lounge, with cozy and elegant atmosphere.
A very special mention goes to our server, Ivana. She was outstanding, warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. Her dish recommendations were spot on. She made us feel so welcomed and cared for, like we were the only guests there.
Overall, this place exceeded all expectations!
From the start, the service felt disorganized. We requested to sit in the outdoor area overlooking the ocean. We made reservations months in advance for the best patio seating but at 5:45 pm we’re told nothing available even though only 2 tables occupied. Instead, we were told to go to the veranda with vague directions on how to get there while others were personally escorted, we were left to figure it out ourselves.
Once at the veranda, we stood at the door for five minutes while three staff members nearby continued chatting without acknowledging us. Only when we asked directly were we seated. At first, we were placed near the fireplace, but just five minutes later we were told we had to move. We carried our own waters and wine to a new table.
What made this worse was watching as other guests were accommodated at the better tables by the fireplace. It felt like we were pushed aside. Our server was great, very knowledgeable, professional and accommodating! Nothing but great things to say about him!
The food itself was the final letdown. For the reputation and the prices, it was bland, and far from Michelin star quality. Nothing stood out as memorable or worth returning for. They seemed to care more about presentation than flavor.
The one positive was the Speakeasy, which had a great atmosphere. But overall, the experience at Stonehouse was far below expectations. it was not worth the price.
