Had breakfast at the Stockpot while visiting family in Virginia. Service was great, we were sat immediately. Our waitress, Tori, answered all of our questions and made good recommendations. I appreciated the variety in the menu. Biscuits and gravy and the salmon and grits were probably our favorites. The mimosa flights were a nice addition, but we found the flavors to be a little too sweet for us.

I was very pleasantly surprised by a recent stop at the Stockpot Chesapeake. It is a casual welcoming little restaurant located just off the Chesapeake expressway. The interior was clean, comfortable and inviting. As soon as we walked in the door the smells coming from the kitchen area made my mouth water. The menu offers a variety of selections which would please almost everyone including those who are vegan or need gluten free. When we finally decided, our food was hot and delicious. Everyone must try their fresh made biscuits and their ramen bowls are huge. They offer craft beers, Mimosa flights and desserts that looked amazing but we were too full to try them. Their prices are competitive and a real value considering the quality of the food and the service was top notch. I can’t wait to go back and try other menu items. I highly recommend Stockpot Chesapeake

High time I kicked off my first review of 2025. I was invited to meet some friends for brunch, and honestly, I initially thought they meant the Norfolk location. I had no idea there was a Stockpot in Chesapeake. But surprise discoveries aside, I ended up having a really solid meal here.

It’s a beautiful day outside for November and most of the outdoor dining area was actually in use. We opted for indoor seating and were seated immediately. I would say the place was at about 75% capacity when we arrived, but it started to clear out not long after.

I ordered the Battlefield Breakfast: two eggs cooked to order, a choice of half an avocado or a protein (I chose bacon, because bacon), home fries with peppers, onions, and spinach, and your pick of sourdough toast or a rosemary biscuit. I went with the toast.

The food arrived in about 15 minutes, and it was absolutely worth the wait. My over-easy eggs were perfectly done, and the bacon was excellent and very flavorful. I broke it over my eggs and mixed everything together with my home fries. The sourdough came in thick, fresh slices already buttered, perfect for sopping up every last drop of yolk.

BTW they kept the drinks full. I had 3 cups of coffee so I’ll be bouncing off the wall any moment now.

Overall I give it 4 stars. It was an excellent experience and I’m looking forward to returning at a future date. I’m eyeing the Baja Breakfast Skillet on my next visit.

The Stockpot Chesapeake is located in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake. They are located along Battlefield Blvd. in the Expressway Shops Shopping Center. My visit here was on December 2, 2025.

I haven’t been to this part of Chesapeake. I was here for a team holiday lunch. It was a bit confusing to get here with the GPS, but at least I was finally able to get to the right spot. We would be eating inside for sure, as it was a rainy day. Parking was not an issue during this visit, and you can see the outdoor patio in front of the restaurant.

Once I came inside, you could see that this place was a casual restaurant. A table was already reserved for our group. After coming inside, I sat down for a moment and then looked around the place for a few moments. There is a bar area. The place isn’t large, but they were able to accommodate everyone here during the time we were here. We would talk and mingle for a while until everyone arrived, but our server came around each time asking for drinks while we waited, though I just stick to water with lemon. They are a breakfast, brunch and lunch type of restaurant. I took some time to look over the menus they had. They have their main menu, as well as a Two For You Lunch Combo menu.

After everyone was here, we had some time to look over the menus. Our server came around for the ordering. I decided to go with the BLT Lunch Combo with the deluxe version (includes avocado and egg. A side was included, and I chose the Route 11 Kettle Chips.

After about 10 to 15 minutes, the food started coming out to the table. I will say all the food looked really good too. When my order came out, it looked really good too. I was ready to indulge in that sandwich. The sandwich was great and had lots of flavor to it with the items included in it. The kettle chips were really good too, but I hadn’t had chips with that many carbs in it for quite a while. Finally, we were able to choose a dessert brownie, and I went with the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake. This item really hit the spot too. I know it spiked my glucose that day, but it isn’t something I do often.

Overall, this was an excellent experience here. We all had a great time and great food. Service was great too. They have a great unique food menu. I will likely be back, but will probably go to the one in Virginia Beach as that one is much closer to me. If you are looking for another local breakfast/brunch/lunch place to visit, this place is worth checking out.

Amazing brunch. Every element of my Baja Breakfast skillet was perfect and the flavor was out of this world. I can’t wait to come back. Kindest, most courteous staff your could ever wish for.

* Let me preface this review: Food is 5 stars*

The left to be desired 1 star is for service.
I really hate to give stockpot a less stellar review since I love Stockpot food and have been repeat patron with great experiences at the Norfolk and VA Beach locations!

First time at this location. I am not surprised that they’re busy at lunch time on a weekday, with no other “ competition” within a half mile radius.

Service is dismal. There are tables not cleared, which is unacceptable at a busy timeframe. I was fine with being offered a seat at the bar/counter. There is only one chef on the grill, one sous chef seemingly busy with salad prep.

I had to let the waitress know I was ready to order as she was walking around just filling sauce cups?? The second waitress was just chatting away while clearly there was another group of 3 that also sat at the bar after me. After chatting, this waitress started asking the party that sat AFTER me for their drinks. Was it because I was one person probably with less tip potential? The same waitress can also be found taking quick breaks to check her phone!
The food and drinks: I ordered the iced honey ginger green tea. Can’t taste the ginger.

Towards the end when I was given their device to add tip to the bill, the waitress said “thanks for your patience, it’s been busy out here”. It’s great for the awareness and reflection but doesn’t service have to be great impervious to how busy the restaurant gets?

Ambiance: There are also tons of flies indoors (see photo).

I’ll be back if only to watch the cook absolutely slay on the flat top, meal after meal. She was an artist to watch.

My only complaint (actually my boyfriends’ complaint) is that one of the dishes (the skillet – my item but he tried it) was “over-seasoned”. He thought it was saltier or more peppery than he liked personally. But I thought it was really good. The rosemary biscuits were great. His gyro was “incredible”. I had a s’mores espresso martini and a caramel coffee and both were perfect. The bartender was our server since we sat at the bar and she was great. The atmosphere was good. Will definitely be back.

This place absolutely SLAPS. Hesitant at first, but went for it. I ordered the Baja breakfast skillet, and my wife ordered the Stockport gyro….I can honestly say I have never tasted such a cleaner bowl and the lamb inside the gyro was to perfection. If yoir looking for a great breakfast, brunch or lunch spot, this is it. I review alot of small dinners around the world and this one is definitely up there. A little quite place in the corner that absolutely nails it. I recommend this place .

The Stockpot has quickly become a favorite for a fresh and healthy meal. The food is consistently high quality and feels nourishing, which can be hard to find when dining out.

Every time we visit, we are greeted by a staff that is genuinely smiling and helpful. The service really matches the bright, clean energy of the food.

One thing to keep in mind is that the interior space isn’t huge. It’s perfect for a few friends or a small group, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a large gathering. That being said, the cozy atmosphere is part of its charm. We love it here and will definitely be back!

We purposely travel to this place to try it for the first time. Outside they have a fair size outside dining with canopy and with heater. Inside it’s almost small but the seating is smart and they were quick to clean the table. Place is pretty popular judging from the arrival of people. I wasn’t a fan of their silver metal kitchen wall area but the place is clean and comfortable. The staff is engaging and not pushy even with so much customers they are patient for us to look at the menu and order. They were quick to bring our order too. We do have to wait for the biscuit although they allow you to substitute with toast or croissant. We did order the biscuit in a basket that came right after they finished baking it. I love their pumpkin cheesecake French toast and the big island. I also enjoyed then Benedict. I can see them enlarging their area since they’re pretty popular judging by the crowd. We enjoy our breakfast and we thank you.
