My boyfriend and I went there for the first time last night to celebrate his birthday. We live in the northern suburbs so we found parking to be a challenge, but not too much of one. This place is a must visit! Every single staff member we encountered displayed begond exceptional customer service. Shoutout to Mitch and Rebecca for making our experience top notch. They were both so kind and personable and made our first time there phenomenal. They were both attentive and kind and friendly and genuinely seemed to care about our dining experience. We were able to try the bisque and it’s a MUST HAVE!! We ordered the friend catfish with hush puppies, steam pot seafood boil, and a dozen raw oysters. Everything was fantastic. Best hush puppies I’ve ever tasted. The seafood boil was to die for. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I usually hate tartar sauce and horseradish in my cocktail sauce but both these items here are exceptional. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is craving some very well priced and high quality seafood. Thank you to Mitch, Rebecca, and the kitchen staff for making this night so special.

Great nostalgic restaurant and bar. The service is fast ans the staff are friendly and helpful. I would have give a higher score for atmosphere but some paint and a few repairs would help. The food is amazing and the portion size is ample. My favorite dish is the oysters Danielle and the seafood stew. Simply amazing. You cant go wrong with any of the seafood dishes. I definitely recommend this place!

I was visiting a friend and we decided to go across the street to grab something to eat.
Service: no wait time, and the service was great. Our server was kind and attentive.
Ambience/Crowd: family friendly casual place to eat.
Food/drink : 5/10 the food was ok, could’ve used more seasoning and I wish the lobster in the bisque was not imitation
Will I be back? Yes I would, they have a wide variety of food.

Hands down! My favorite seafood restaurant in Atlanta. On Wednesdays, their roasted oysters and bisque is discounted. My girlfriend Robin and I go here to literally “Pig Out”!! Never disappoints. We always leave “Fat & Happy”

Great classic, neighborhood restaurant. It’s located in a very walkable area of Midtown – only being a 5 minute walk from my apartment.
The lady that works the bar gave excellent service. She was so nice and attentive, before I could get to my seat she waved and asked me how my day was going. I immediately decided in that moment that I would be a regular.
I wanted to try their cooked oysters, so I went for the platter. Overall good but none of them really stood out – though I may have enjoyed the Garlic Parmesean the most. It was light and simple. I really wanted to love the Rockefeller. That one had a cheese sauce, but it was overpowering, runny, and undercooked. It didn’t blend well with the oyster. The best Rockefeller I’ve ever had was lighter on the sauce, oven baked and more crispy. Next time I’ll ask them to cook them longer.
I also had the catfish basket with a side of fries. I added hushpuppies. Everything was good. The catfish was extra large and seasoned perfectly, not too salty or bland. I was asked if I wanted it fried hard, I said no. I don’t like it burned. Well, they still kind of cooked it too long because almost half was dark, so next time I will have to insist that they cook it just until golden brown. The hushpuppies were good. I wished they had a little more cornmeal flavor, but I enjoyed the basket.
Overall, I rate the food a 3.5/5, but because of the friendly service, I would highly recommended a visit.

Walked in for a drink, but we couldn’t resist trying the lobster bisque and chili, and those were so good we had the crab dip, and that was so good we had to try the shrimp and grits and fish tacos! And of course the peanut butter mousse cake. Everything was delicious, and our server went above and beyond!

Was greeted right away and sat right away. Nice souther/dive bar look on the inside.i had the low country Broil, the Jalapeños cheese grits and a loaf Tucker Lager. The lager no that much flavor, very bland and a bit of bitterness. On original view I was saddened by the pickled jalapeños. But when I tasted the grit, it had such a great mix with a little bitterness from the jalapeño which meshed very well. The Broil had a nice little bit of spice and great pricing. Only negative is frozen shrimp you can tell because of texture. But its what you expect when you consider the price.

I love this place! We always get the oysters Rockefeller to start us off and Rum Punch. Alexis is the best server ever. And Mitch, the manger, is Mr Incredible! He recommended the chocolate dipped key-lime island freeze: heavenly

Steamhouse is one of those rare gems that gets everything right. The Lobster Bisque is hands down the best you’ll find anywhere—not just in Georgia, but anywhere. The amount of lobster in each bowl is unreal.
Kat is fantastic—friendly, attentive, and she knows her stuff. Tell her what size oysters you prefer, and she’ll make sure you get exactly what you’re after. And she’s got the perfect scoop for that bisque too.
Don’t miss their Monday $25 crab legs and Wednesday oyster specials—both are unbeatable deals.
Overall, Steamhouse offers better food and prices than the competition. Consistently excellent every visit.
