We had some great wine, we all had Caesar Salad ( I hear it used to be made at the table) made in the kitchen, and a couple of us had the French Onion soup, which was great!
The 14oz. Rib Eye, Medium Rare, was amazing, and the mashed potatoes and the Asparagus were hot and delicious.
I would definitely go back and I think it was a great meal…
We had plenty of leftovers and very full.
Regarding the food, the lobster bisque is excellent and very flavorful, the giant prawns are delicious and salads are very good. We have shared the Châteaubriand between the two of us and it was so much food, we couldn’t even finish it with all the vegetables and potatoes that came with it. The last time we were there, it was a Sunday, which is the only day they have their prime rib, which my husband ordered. I had the most delicious short rib ever, bone in with so much flavor and about the most tender piece of meat I have ever had, and I have eaten at many high-end places with excellent meat. My husband said the prime rib was great and I had a bite of it and I agree, but after he had a bite of my short rib, he said that next time he would order that! On top of that, they serve Anna’s Bread rosemary rolls which were delicious; I buy Anna’s Bread in town sometimes as it is so good!
When I called to make the reservation, I did tell the woman taking the reservation that it was our 46th anniversary, but I was surprised that no dessert was offered for that, but I have to say that we were really too full to even eat dessert! I remember in the past, they would extend a complimentary dessert for special occasions, which was a nice touch and much appreciated. Maybe they don’t do that anymore.
All in all, every time we have been there it has been delicious and we will be going again soon for my birthday in December. I am really looking forward to it!
Our server Jessica who top notch
She started by welcoming us to the steak house and was then offering us water at the same time.
She asked if we were there for any specific reason or was it just for dinner.
That’s when I told her that we were there celebrating my husband birthday dinner
She noticed that we had the wine list and said that they have wine on special
It just happened to be my favorite kind of wine
Overall everything was great
The staff was very respectful and helpful
We look forward to going back
Thanks again Jessica for a wonderful night
Update went to try the Prime Rib and it looked like this. Does that look good to you given you are paying premium prices?
This place is absolutely top notch. The quality of the food is excellent from the fresh baked bread w/infused variations of butter to the Caesar salad made in front of you, to every cut of meat being perfect, every detail is managed meticulously.
They even have a Maitre-De who periodically comes to ensure the experience is to your liking.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. There’s only downside and it’s a small one and that’s the ambience. Normally, for a restaurant like this, you’d have a nice view out the window. Because it’s a hotel, there are no windows. That said, it’s our go to place for fine dining.
