The Station offers a “third space” that is uniquely Raleigh. Spacious outdoor and indoor dining areas, adorned with wood and metal, offer a range of accommodations for our friends. On colder nights, you can curl up next to one of our wood-burning fire pits while you await the open air dining experience that warmer weather brings. Whether you are stopping in for a farm-fresh lunch, taking a break from the kitchen, or imbibing in the company of others- we look forward to meeting you and becoming a part of your story.
Stylish hangout in an old gas station offering beer, cocktails, updated American food & a patio.

Great hangout with a nice menu. I highly recommend the potato wedges. Their beer selection and unique offerings like their fried green tomato with mozzarella (I call this a southern caprese salad) make the Station worth a visit and worth the extra walk from wherever you have to park.

Met friends for a casual Friday evening dinner. We had a mixed bag of the Smash Burger, Chicken & Waffles, Shrimp Burger, &Texas Smash, and we all agreed that the food was delicious. One person had a LI Iced Tea, which she did not like. It is located in a former service station, so the atmosphere is in line with that. Different & fun. Beautiful bar & seating area in front that we would have used if it had not just poured rain. Only complaint is that the music is too loud, making it difficult to hear conversations. Overall, recommend!

Overall Rating: 3.3/10
While the setting was distinctive with an inviting outdoor eating area, the overall experience was marred by poor service and cold food, leading to disappointment.
Service: 2.1/10
The self-seating approach caused confusion for several guests. Despite the server being polite and attentive, other staff members behaved disruptively, diminishing the dining atmosphere. Additionally, there was a noticeable delay in service affecting not just our table but others too. Except for the burger, all dishes were served cold, indicating they had been neglected for some time.
Food:
BBQ Burger: 6.6/10
This was the highlight of the meal, offering the right balance of flavor without being overly greasy, and proving to be satisfyingly filling.
Tater Tots: 4.4/10
These appeared to be homemade, which was a positive aspect, but the flavor was slightly off despite good crispiness.
Rest of the Food: 1.0/10
The remaining dishes were served cold, significantly detracting from their quality and enjoyment.
Value: 1.1/10
At over $75 for three people, the cost was exorbitant considering the poor quality of the dining experience. Only the burger provided any sense of value, but it did not compensate for the overall substandard meal, making the total far from justifiable.

I will start with the atmosphere here , super cute and has great outdoor dining with fireplaces . Our waitress Hibiscus was super sweet and was so attentive . Now.. the food…. it was AWESOME! I didn’t know what to expect but this is our new favorite spot. The chicken wings were soooo crispy and tasty. The burgers were possibly the best burger we have ever had. The steak n’frites was better than super expensive restaurants I’ve been to. You can tell the food quality is high. We can’t wait to try other things!

Great outdoor space in Person Street. Decent cocktails. The food is pretty good, get the crispy pork belly! You’ll thank me. Decent burgers and fries. I really liked the fried green tomato Caprese. Kid friendly. All said, we go here when we want a good local casual joint to eat and drink.

I’d really give this place a 4.5/5! I understand and love the concept of seat yourself and then order from the QR code because it makes ordering and getting food faster but if you’re a big group waiting for a table it’s so awkward standing there and stalking people to see if they’re almost done. We sat for 2 people and we shared it with a group of 4, but had to ask if it was okay…which they said yes but I can see that being awkward for some people!
The taco trio was delicious, I recommend the pastor and beef, the shrimp was so/so
My drink was the ranch water and it was just fine! I wanted to try their Italian drink but it was sold out

My food was ok. I had the catfish sandwich and fries. The catfish was big but lacked seasoning. The fries were average. The Brussels sprouts we had for appetizers were honestly the best I had at the table. My husband had the burger and fries and he said his burger was good. I will return to get a burger next time.

Waited 45 minutes for a burger when I was the only patron. Then had to wait until I was done with my burger for my side. Was told my food was taking so long because they were having a meeting. This place has gone so downhill it is a joke. I don’t care what specials they have going, don’t waste your time here. Feel bad for the one server/bartender. Not his fault the kitchen is not cooking and management doesn’t care. Wedges on point or else I would have asked for a full refund. Last visit here. RIP Station.

Yummy food, tasty drinks, good atmosphere. Occasionally hard to get service but there are lots of people and few staff sometimes so understandable. The Station burger is always good, never been disappointed. All of the mules are great, my personal favorite being the Durham mule with blueberries. I love this place, and my friends and I are regulars. If you sit outside during hotter months, you are basically downtown so be prepared for company in the form of our least favorite bugs. No fault of the restaurant’s, it’s unavoidable. Otherwise great reliable choice for brews and food with a group.
Update 04/23: they’ve changed their menu! There are a few new dishes alongside some old favorites. I tried the chicken and waffles for something new. They were very sweet, but delicious! I’m excited to come back and try the other new things. Staffing also seems to be better now.

Went on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t very busy. Ordered a Texas Smash (burger). It was right up my alley with pork belly, BBQ sauce, onions, and melted cheese. I went out on a limb and ordered brussel sprouts as the side. They were AMAZING! My company both had smash burgers with potato wedges. They reported that their meals were tasty! Our waiter was not only friendly, accurate, and efficient but took the time to inform us about specials the restaurant had on other days of the week. We will be returning.
The vibe: very cool vibe! Lots of outdoor seating with outside heating.
Cons:
Bathrooms could use a redo. 2 stalls in the women’s and one was out of order.
It was cold inside. Because servers had to go outside to serve the patio the door was opened every 2 secs.
