Good atmosphere and food was pretty good. Wife said the chicken tacos were a little spicy. I had the train wreck burger it was as advertised it was a bit of a mess to wrangle but it was delicious. The service was good they worked as a team to make sure everyone was happy on a busy Saturday.

The fairest comparison is the Black Horse Tavern in Mendham and The Station by FAR has waaaaaay better food. It’s upscale bar food, so this isn’t Ristorante MV or anything. But, for a casual meal with kids or a family or a big group, The Station wins on quality and taste. Ceasar salad and wings were delicious, kids had buttered pasta and mozzarella wings and ate it all. Oh and the apple pie was crazy good – perfectly crusty crust!

Go to The Station!!

Visited the station for the first time in a few years. They’ve really expanded their outdoor space since COVID and it looks great! Food was alright. Nothing really blew us away, but likewise nothing was disappointing. All of the staff members were very kind and accommodating to allergies. They had fair prices for food and beverages alike. Cobb salad was pretty good and I really enjoyed my strawberry mojito.

Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere new to dine outdoors, and/or if you’re looking to grab a quick bite for a fair price during happy hour.

The Station in Bernardsville was a great happy hour experience. The location is super convenient—right across from the train station—which makes it easy to get to. The space has a relaxed yet stylish vibe, perfect for casual meetups or professional gatherings. Great drinks, awesome appetizers, and a comfortable atmosphere made it a solid spot for connecting with others. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Parking is on the street. Indoor and outdoor dining available.
Nice ambience inside and outside, owner/host took care of us more than the servers.

This seems like a wealthy neighborhood, so I can forgive them for $15 a burger.

We took the firehouse burger, southwest burger, and I took the trainwreck burger. Trainwreck burger tastes a lot like the burgers you make at home. Onions were nicely caramelized, buns could be a bit fresher. Definitely would like a nice kick of a different flavor/sauce, not so much bbq sauce.

Had a delicious lunch here in August. Loved all the food. Great guacamole to start, yummy cocktails, and the awesomely creative tuna sliders. Those sliders took all the great parts about sushi and flatbreads and mixed them together. Absolutely would order that again! Anyway, definitely give the Station a try!

Our party really enjoyed the food here, and the bartender Marco was really good. The fries are especially delicious. There were a few flies floating around the place that got kind of annoying

Very convenient location with an active environment. Food was fine, not great. Service was good though. I prefer Claremont Tavern for food but this (The Station) has better sightseeing. Ice cream for dessert is just around the corner.

Don’t trust their times. They say they’re open until 10PM. We walk in at 9PM, and some bus boy says “sorry we just closed.” Seriously? I told him that isn’t consistent with the times listed online AND on the front door. He weakly replied that “there’s nothing going on.” He was right; hardly anyone was there, but the principle was pathetic. Basically, The Station feels it right to close up whenever they feel like it (for example, an hour or two earlier than what they say).

Try to avoid this place at all costs. We wandered in mid day. There was one other table there. We ordered wings, Coffee, pizza and water with no ice. It was a chilly day, they had no hot tea.
The only thing the server got right was the wings. We got water with ice, a sandwich wrap instead of a pizza and no coffee. We had to ask again for coffee which still took a while. And had to ask twice for the check. They weren’t busy, they just didn’t care much. The wings were very mediocre, the pizza was the worst pizza we’ve ever had. Our drinks were not refilled at all.

Overall, the servers dont pay attention and the food is sub par.
