It was time for another burger lunch so after hearing about The Standard from others I decided today was it. I do have a question though…..why are most of these burger places painted black inside???
Anway, my rambling is now done so back to the review. I decided on the All American burger with the added Fries and Drink combo. Came to just over $30. The burger was tasty…not great but not bad either. Fries were nice and crunchy.
Service was ok but I wouldn’t say overly friendly. At the end of the day it just felt like just another burger joint.

Really nice American beef burger with my wife having the veggie options. Both were very tasty and possibly the best burgers we’ve had. They were very fresh and the buns actually stayed together right to the end. The fries were great but the added bonus was the sweet potato wedges. Definitely the best I’ve ever had. Very soft has sweet potatoe is but crisp on the outside. Well tasty. Very good prices as well. Very glad we stopped by.

Another great place in Hobart to hangout at. They have arcade machines at the 1st level, rooftop at 2nd level for alfresco dining. Hoping this place will always be packed with people.
We had the Thunderbird and All-American for take away. The Thunderbird was great, the All-American might have been cooked not well enough, as it tasted raw. Take away orders were tucked neatly in a paper bag. Front of house was very polite.
We will come back for sure. Keep it up.

One of the best restaurant experiences in Hobart. We got 2 delicious “reverse cowgirl” burgers and the “over the top” fries and were very impressed. The burgers were so big they were hard to finish but tasted amazing. crispy and moist fried chicken, tasty sauce and fresh crunchy pickles made these burgers an absolute winner and we polished off the fries despite having very full tummies. Really decent prices and speedy service. Will definitely be coming back.

Every time we come here we say, these are the best! The taste, the freshness and the quality of burgers are outstanding. The reverse cowgirl is a must try!

First time, tried a William Smith cider while I waited. The chill music, cider were the awesome way to finish the wait after the great customer service I received while ordering. Food was drool worthy! Next time I’m back in Hobart, I’ll definitely come back.

Great burger bar in the Hobart CBD, stumbled across this place and glad we gave it a go.
Burgers were well priced and decent quality, didn’t take long to get. Friendly service and good tasting burgers. Good variety too.

The burger didn’t completely hit the spot for me but I did have high expectations. Bun was a let down, patty was tiny, not much bacon, not much guac. Everything just wasn’t right.
Would have definitely been a 3 star if it wasn’t for the animal fries…. Damn they were good!
