What a fantastic venue for a rehearsal dinner! We had 21 people and had the patio to ourselves. The food was great – the chicken wing appetizers were a standout. All of the main course was delicious and plentiful. Mac and cheese, pulled brisket with homemade BBQ sauce, coleslaw, salmon, chicken, and amazing cornbread with honey butter. Dessert was awesome – a brownie platter with cookies and a carved watermelon overflowing with freshly cut fruit. Very attentive service – waters were kept full on a hot evening and drink orders were delivered quickly. Our party adjourned to the shed for the Welcoming Party where the staff relocated all the extra food for our additional guests. Our dedicated servers came with us. We stayed there for several more hours enjoying the band, drinks, and food. When the bill came Joy took the time to go over it with us in detail. Everything was priced fairly and there were no surprises. Planning the event with her was like working with a friend. It was a wonderful evening! I highly recommend The Stand.

What a great place! A big part of why I love The Stand is because of the cool outdoor seating which is sometimes hard to find in CT. The food is also good although I’ve tried ordering the tuna tostada twice and they’re always sold out.
Food I’ve tried…
• Brussel sprouts. Eh. They were alright and totally drenched in dressing which made them a bit soggy.
• Salad was great.
• Pasta came out cold ☹️ but they quickly reheated it. It was fine, but I wouldn’t order again. To be fair, it’s really hard to impress me when it comes to pasta.
• Hamburger properly cooked and flavorful.
• All of the drinks are great!
Overall, this place is easily 5 stars when it comes to the ambiance and outdoor vibes.
And the best part?! BYOB. Bring your own blanket!! It helps with those cold nights especially with the common, ineffective heaters that every restaurant has for some unknown reason.

I rarely do bad reviews but this was extremely upsetting to be treated as I was at The Stand. I had gone to their website to get a number to call for a reservation. On the website it said reserve a table which I clicked. It asked for date gave option of times and number of people. I filled it all out and entered. I got a text that the Google assistant would notify me which a short while later I got the confirmation right date and time and place. When we got to the restaurant it was busy I told the hostess we had a reservation and my name. She did not look it up anywhere and acted like she didn’t know where to put us. Had band members move from their table with food. I asked about a booth or other low table she said she was booked. We sat on corner high table but it was freezing. A while later seeing other tables open asked if we could move to one or at least turn air down. She claimed I was yelling which I was not but it was loud in there so speaking up. Then she said we did not have reservations. That upset me since I had a confirmation and she never said that when I gave her the name. She got the owner who was very dismissive and agreed no reservation. Showed him my confirmation but seemed not to care and dismissive like it was my error. Did finally apologize but not like he thought it was their error. Acted like we were a bother not customers. Waiter pleasant but never smiled. Never came back to check on drinks or desert. Very bad experience other than great band. Food was good but not worth the feeling that we were treated like they could care less. Do not recommend or will be back. Be careful if you book on their on line. I have often used online booking which works through Google assistant with no problems till here. Good customer service would have handled this error by maybe a complimentary drink or just acknowledging an error and trying to make it up but we left with a very negative feeling like they could care less.

This is my fifth time here, however my first review. The food, the service, the crowd and the live music were all great.
The Verdict: An overall good time. I’m looking forward to dining outside, in the summer.

Live Music on a Sunday night. Very lively inside at 7pm. A lot of parking but the lot fills up quickly. Two gender neutral restrooms so the line moves quickly even while busy.

Pretty cool place. It can be surprisingly difficult to find a BBQ place that lets you pick and choose a sample of different meats rather than having to order each individual one as a 1/2 pound. I had the “pick 2” platter and got both the pulled pork and brisket. The pulled pork was pretty good but the brisket was amazing. The Texas slaw was also very good. One thing I didn’t like was the small amount of sauce you get. They have a nice selection of about 6-8 sauces but they come in a tiny plastic cup and you have to keep asking for more. A squeeze bottle on the table would have been MUCH better. The coffee sauce and the Carolina mustard were delicious. With a brewery right down the street, this is a place everyone must go to. I don’t know much about smokers but the ones that have out back are HUGE. Check them out, right next to the little farm market building.

Great place for live music.
The food is good, but you always have to wait 45 minutes to 1 hour for food. The waiters and waitresses always complain how backed up the kitchen is and there is very few people in the restaurant. Please hire some staff, or readoo the kitchen, so people don’t go somewhere else to eat, like I have on several nights.
