The Stand serves up some comfort food, nostalgic of a good ol burger, shake, and fries but with modern offerings to health conscious eaters as well. There’s something for the whole family.
All the sides we had were delicious – Mac n Cheese with its cavatappi noodles, crispy Stand Fries, Fire Fries with a spicy kick, and unlimited complimentary pickles.
Short Rib Gilled Cheese was SO delicious! Crispy cheese grilled into the bread on the outside, gooey and melty inside, paired with savory shredded short rib. It came with ranch sauce but was so good on its own, it didn’t need extra sauce.
French Onion Soup Burger was just ok in my opinion. The burger itself and patty didn’t have much flavor. The side of french onion au jus just tasted really salty.
Puri Puri Chicken Bowl looked great on the menu screen and was a new item, but didn’t really look like the picture when brought out. It’s a healthier option and was refreshing. The red sauce is pretty spicy if you don’t do heat well. It might be the same sauce used on the Fire Fries.
The cashier, Christian, provided top notch customer service. He walked us through downloading The Stand app, apply our coupon, and was so patient, assuring us we had nothing to worry about when we said we didn’t want to hold up the line. Aside from Christian though, the kitchen is extremely slow and it took a really long time to get our food. Be prepared to wait 20-30 mins for your food.
The ambiance is real casual. You order first, and the servers bring out your food and clean up afterwards. Although they seemed short staffed at the time so a lot of tables were still full of trays. There’s a ton of TVs that were playing the game at the time, so good spot to watch the game without the crazy crowds.

Tasty food with large portions. Even has several beer taps with a varied selection of brews available.
The sweet potato waffle fries are delicious. The sweet chili aioli sauce goes very well with them. The chocolate shake was a huge hit with the kids and mom. The chicken is actually a chicken breast and not ground meat. Quite tasty. The turkey burger is delicious the beer is chose was the Stand IPA. Very good choice.

The stand is the perfect place for a mall lunch. They make really good burgers. I suggest that one with the avocado and bacon (I forgot the name.)Also, random note bu their pickles are amazing. And you can grab some for free up front. Overall a really good burger place with really nice staff. Very good.

I had a burger here yesterday, and it was one of the most disappointing ones I’ve ever had. The patty completely lacked flavor and juiciness—it was dry, bland, and honestly tasted like cardboard. To make things worse, the bread was wet, making the whole experience even more unpleasant. It’s clear that whoever is making these burgers has little to no knowledge about how a proper burger should be made, and that’s something they seriously need to work on.
On top of the terrible food, the service was extremely slow. It seemed like they prioritized online orders over the customers dining inside, which is unacceptable. If they continue to operate this way, they’ll only drive people away.
If this place wants to survive, they need to step up their game—both in food quality and customer service. Learn how to make a real burger and respect the customers who take the time to visit in person.

After visiting this place and seeing how things are handled behind the counter, I completely stopped coming here.
The same employees handle the cash register, work in the kitchen, clear trays, touch money, then immediately touch food with bare hands. I saw no hand washing in between, no gloves, and people wiping their hands on their clothes. Surfaces were wiped with visibly dirty rags. Overall, the atmosphere felt extremely unsanitary.
What made it even worse is that this is clearly a chain, and I’ve been to other locations of the same brand where everything looked completely different: separate staff for different tasks, clean counters, proper hygiene, and well-organized work. That only highlights how unacceptable the standards are at this specific restaurant.
This is by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in terms of cleanliness and food handling. I honestly didn’t think it was possible for kitchen hygiene to be this bad.
I would strongly advise avoiding this location.

I wasn’t impressed by the quality of the burger. Buns were soggy and the harvati shroom lacked taste. Would love to have some veggies inside to elevate it a bit. Service and atmosphere were great though. And a draft beer helped with making it a better meal 🙂

I always get the salmon bowl or the seared ahi tuna salad. Today I got the seared ahi tuna salad. The flavors are always spot on. Highly recommend all of the salads, the house made chips, the yuzu broccoli, the ahi tuna sandwich, and my husband loves the grilled cheese and the burgers.

Wow, what a diappointment! I remember “The Stand” on Ventura having the best hot dogs in the Valley. My chili dog fell apart during the first bite. That was due to the bun being stale. It broke in half. I had to eat it with a knife and fork. The wiener was good, but the chili and cheese were sparse. The restaurant has an extensive menu, but I wanted a really good hotdog. There were only two choices.
