I was walking by with my dog and decided to go in to get something to drink. The friendliness of the folks there reminded me of my Texas roots. The atmosphere is amazing. The milkshake l, even better. My dog even got some snacks. This place is a must stop if you’re ever in the area.

Everyone there was so sweet and it was such a cozy environment. Very kid friendly and they go above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of. The reptiles they have are also very beautiful and it’s a very informative experience. Truly a wonderful place to stop by, I completely recommend this restaurant.

The meal was awesome. Ribs were tender, the loaded baked russet potato, the small cups of baked beans and sweet corn was more than a meal. My wife had the bacon cheese burger with fries. I took two of the 5 ribs along with half the potato home for lunch the next day. It was still awesome. The BBQ sauce was sweet with just a touch of tang and the smoke was just subtle under the sauce. We will obviously be back.

When I went in here for the first time, I was having an awful day. I was in a terrible mood, and I was *hungry*. The burger was decidedly good, and an enormous serving of fries came with it! I got the basic jalapeno burger and fries schtick, but I splurged for something extra: Peanut butter pie. I’ll say it now, best peanut butter pie I’ve ever gotten from a restaurant! The owner, a nice enough guy, and I chatted for a bit before he mentioned the clubhouse. I was intrigued, but not entirely interested, until he brought me to the back-most room and showed off the largest reptile collection I’ve ever seen!

The owners and staff are so kind and the food was delicious. Our kids loved the Critter Corral. The animals are very loved and cared for. Seeing and touching calm animals is very regulating for our neurodiverse kiddo. The surprise of the Critter Corral made his day!

Ribs were good. Meatloaf was very dense/tough and did not have good flavor. Server was friendly. The weird thing about the restaurant was a tv in the dining area. It was annoyingly loud, and a person channel surfing sitcoms the whole time we were there.

OHH there is so much delicious food here. This place is very kid friendly. The owners are very friendly and care for you like family. I love how they go over and beyond to make sure you get what you want. If there is something special, you want, and it is not on the menu. They will make it if they have the stuff to do it. You can special order pies and platters for parties! The sack lunches we get for our fishing trips on the lake are amazing. I am telling you they have thought of everything!! Such a treasure to this little town of Lakeside.
