We were visiting for a work trip and had our team dinner here (reservation). What an amazing experience, to say the least. They have top tier staff – our server (of 38 years) was personable, kind, and very knowledgeable. I ordered the onion rings (hand battered, rich goldness), medium well pork chops, and asparagus. Although I have sparse history at such a level of establishment, the pork chops were transcendent – the flavor of the glaze melded with the apple relish and walnuts was written for this tender, locally farmed double bone chop: it had the perfect level of fat and final resting time.

“Compliments to the Chef” doesn’t come close to portraying this experience…so instead, that first bite view was likely worth a thousand words. Thank you to all.

This place is magical. Yes, it’s expensive, but absolutely worth it for a special occasion or when you want to treat yourself to something exceptional.

The Wagyu steak was phenomenal. It literally melted in my mouth with the kind of quality you can immediately taste. The bourbon and whiskey selection is extensive and truly impressive. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the spirits, and we had a wonderful conversation where she made personalized recommendations based on what I typically enjoy. She steered me toward a few bottles I hadn’t tried before, and every suggestion was spot on.
I even indulged in Pappy Van Winkle for the first time. They actually had it available, which is rare, and it was everything I’d hoped it would be.

The atmosphere is equally impressive. Beautiful lighting outside creates an inviting ambiance before you even walk in. The menu is excellent across the board. I tried a bite of my wife’s fish and it was perfectly prepared and delicious. During the holidays, they had live carolers inside, which added a special touch to an already memorable experience. We also spent time in the connected bar, which has the same elevated quality and attention to detail as the main dining room.
Easily one of the best restaurants in Minnesota. The combination of outstanding food, exceptional service, carefully curated drink selection, and refined atmosphere makes this a standout. Highly recommend.

The liquor selection at the Saint Paul is simply unsurpassed. For fun we tried to think of a bottle that they didn’t have, without success. Prices are what you may expect from an upper echelon establishment.

The bartenders are masters of their trade and are cognizant of their surroundings at all times. Don’t have to worry about getting their attention when your drink runs low.

Our drinks were great and the waitress was phenomenal. She basically ran her entire shift, but she was compensated well. Surprisingly, the best of the food were the onion rings. Crazy large and delicious, the best any of our group had ever tasted.

Loved our experience here! We sat at the bar and had a great time. Bartenders were amazing (shout out Wes!). Food and drinks were great. I originally ordered a vodka martini and the bartender jokingly gave me grief for it, turned into a fun adventure of trying amazing gin drinks. It’s fun to go somewhere and have a bartender surprise you with a drink (especially when they turn out amazing).

We had the Ahi Tuna and the Blackened Beef. Both A+ great apps.

Today we had our Thanksgiving meal at your wonderful restaurant. Everything was perfect. The selection of food plus the quality of the food was delicious. The service was top notch and our waiter, Gary, was an absolute delight! Everyone in the service industry should be as efficient, personable, and engaged with their customers as he is! As usual, the hotel and the restaurant were decorated beautifully! We look forward to next year!!

We had a great experience here. We had a big group of 15+ (we made a reservation) and the night went very smoothly. The staff members were friendly and attentive, and the food was all delicious and came out pretty quickly. I would recommend the French onion soup!

Amazing food in an incredibly beautiful place! My husband and I both had pike – he ordered the sandwiches and I had the fish & chips. Both were absolutely perfectly cooked, and my coleslaw and fries were fabulous. Our server Richard is a prince among servers – funny, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. He was simply a delight, and one of the restaurant’s best assets. The architecture of the place was marvelous as well. Definitely worth searching out – ask for Richard for your server!

Ordered the Fish and Chips for lunch; house-made summit EPA beer battered walleye with side of tartar sauce and Idaho potato fries and a side of coleslaw. Massive portion alert! The fish was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The chips (fries) were equally as crispy. The tartar sauce was spicy but not over bearing. Delicious overall and recommend. Service was great and the Hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

What a great place, their staff and their food top notch. Get this… we did the Christmas day Vikings game and planned an overnight stay at the hotel and dinner too BUT we were a WHOLE HOUR LATE for our dinner reservation (huge traffic!), when we got there they were being absolutely slammed with XMAS customers but the cheerful staff somehow got us in any and we had a great dinner to top a great Christmas day thanks to their “can-do” attitude.. Many thanks to the hotel and restaurant team. True professionals.

We flew in late on July 4th and was staying at this hotel. I did not realize the attire for this restaurant was business casual so I apologize for showing up in athleisure wear lol. Thank you for still sitting us and serving us delicious food.

Our server was informative and accommodating. After traveling all day, this was definitely a great welcome to St. Paul.

We started with the hot and tangy shrimp. The shrimp was juicy and not over cooked, sauce was nice and sweet, could have a little more kick but delicious nonetheless. Save the bread and use it to dip in the remaining sauce!

For the entree, my fiance and I split the Grill Tenderloin. This came with an delicious mushroom wild rice soup. It was also cooked to just the right amount and it was very tender.

We ended with one of their feature desserts, cherry cheese cake. Don’t underestimate this common dessert because they did a great job.

Overall great experience and service! Definitely come here even if you aren’t staying at the hotel.
