Awesome place for all kinds of baked potatoes! Everything was fresh & felt homemade, they were huge and did not skimp on toppings. Service was a little slow, but the quality was worth the wait! Good prices and don’t miss the cookies & sweets.

The potato I had from here made me sleepy it was so good and full. Prices are a tad bit high. I had a roast beef on bun with the potato. Overall the potato needed a little more seasoning as well as the roast beef. It was packaged nice and full but when you eating roast beef you want the seasoning to chase it. To say I had a seafood potato it shouldn’t have been bland. I would dine again for a different experience.

This was my first time eating here. I had the pot roast potato, my nephew had the beef brisket, and our friend a the shrimp potato. We all enjoyed our potatoes. They were very good. Unfortunately, they had a sign on the door stating their last day was Sunday.

Wife and I stopped here for dinner. I got a potato and she got the shrimp and corn bisque. Mine was the seafood spud and I loved it. My wife was not all that thrilled with the bisque and I don’t blame her after trying it. It did taste a little better than it looked. My spud has shrimp, crab, and crawfish in a creamy sauce. Get it!! Wish I could give more stars but that bisque was not good.

Lame. Totally not worth the money. $25 for a mediocre burger chopped up on a bland baked potato. Seemed like low quality ingredients (lots of bone chips and gristle).
As soon as I got my food, I realized why there is a big “no refunds” sign right by the register. I just ate what I could, threw away the rest, told myself “never again,” and left.
Bland, uninspiring “atmosphere.”
Condiments not readily available, (I assume you can ask for salt & pepper etc at counter.)
Wouldn’t be too disappointing if it was around $8.

1st time but definitely not the last. I’m an extremely picky eater and am watching my weight but this eatery is causing me to second guess my eating habits. I enjoyed a steak fajita stuffed potatoes and an order of funnel fries. Yummy! My husband and daughter enjoyed a chicken fajita potato and seafood potato.

After 2 weeks of being in town I finally decided to try this place on my final day here and I wish I didn’t wait this long to eat here. The price and the food were excellent, I had the broccoli and cauliflower with cheese sauce and bacon and it did not disappoint! I also ordered a Chilli dog because my eyes are bigger then my mouth but I made room for it after the first bite, Chilli was nice and hearty and for a little over $2.99 it came with sweet potato fries. Overall the food was good, the staff was patient with me I didn’t feel rushed and they made good recommendations.
Penny for a thought, I almost feel like I would try a breakfast version of this like a bacon, over easy egg and cheese with everything seasoning.

I came to this joint on my brief trip to New Orleans. It was close to my hotel so I decided to give it a shot.
The restaurant has a walk up counter to order with plenty of seeting available to the right hand side of the joint. I ordered the Traditional, whole, topped w/cheddar cheese and a root beer soda. I figured you couldnt go wrong with the tried and true. It was delicious. The spud wasn’t over cooked or dry and came with lots of margarine. I prefer butter but this wasn’t bad. Accompanied w/real bacon bits and freshly chopped chives. Also included was a personal size tube of sour cream, Tony Chachere, and salt/pepper.

I have to say my first experience ordering food from The Spud Spot using Waitr carryou, Was not so good. Not the taste or service but the portions. A large size hot sausage sandwich is 12 inch of French bread with two hot sausage patties on it and two tomatoes leaving a whole empty spot for at least one more hot sausage patties and two more tomato slices. I do have to say if anyone at all has ever purchased a hot sausage sandwich and ever got a large hot sausage sandwich with just two sausage patties on it and thinks this is normal you’re wrong and it does not meet any standard large Po-Boy sandwich I’ve ever had. Even the most cheapest po boy sandwiches are not this skimpy seriously…I really want to give less Stars than two but I’m given two cuz the tast was okay but nothing to raise my hands about and say I want that same order again. The only reason why I would choose it is just was a convenient and if was there in that location and dying of hunger… Other than that I don’t find it too appealing now. Their Po-Boy hot sausage sandwich anyway. Plus don’t even bother say add cheese and pay for it because they don’t give it to you at all.Well I should say they didn’t give it to me on this order.
Also tried original baked potato with bacon and chives. very disappointed in that too. Anywhere else I get a potato with bacon and chives there’s a pile of bacon and a pile of chives.like shown on The Spud Spot Menu… not true on theirs or maybe it’s just because I just hit it on the bad day when they were being skimpy on everything. Lol.. But should never happen anyone. And the people that made the sandwich should know that because they wouldn’t want it to happen to them. All I can see is this point is, it may not stop me from returning to try them again as a redemption cause, but I know for sure I will definitely open up and unwrap everything I order right then and there to verify the order before I leave. And it’s a shame that I have to go through that inconvenience or for anyone to east the time doing so. But you must be-aware…
Thanks for reading my lawn this reviews and hopefully this helps you on your decision using this location.
Note: the picture shown is after I cut the ends off the bread to show you how much is really missing the real food portions.
