Fries and cheeseburger are good. Chicken sandwich and onion rings weren’t for me. The ice cream is such a generous helping but was a little icy. The staff was so. Ice and courteous, great for a one off visit but wouldn’t come back.

Edit: What a difference a year makes! Im not sure what happened, but they just reopened this week, and the quality was TERRIBLE. The burger patties weren’t even formed and were basically just a bunch of burned ground beef piled on a bun. The onion rings were massively oversalted. Im so sad! This place was great when it opened, but the quality just isn’t there now.

Original review from Spring 2023:
Amazing burgers and the best onion rings ive had yet in Maine. Laid back atmosphere with a bunch of picnic tables outside with some games, and a nice screened porch. Will definitely be back!

The food was delicious. I had never had a smash burger before and it was delicious. I had several toppings and the bun was soft and fresh tasting. We also ordered a side order of onion rings that were cooked perfectly. Crunchy but not burnt on the outside and the onion inside was cooked just right.

Great little local take out. Limited menu now that it reopened. Basic roadside stand take out fare..burgers, onion rings/fries, a vegan burger n salad options. Great ‘sauces’ as option w your food fare and theres veer, wine, cider and the usual soda etc for beverages. Nice ambiance; woodsy backyard vibe, even a firepit, w Caribbean music playing and a great screened porch if the bugs are biting. Just sorry the onion rings were ‘well done’ and lets just say ..a little burger with our condiments?!…man..go easy .no need for sloppy messy burgers so we cant even taste the beef. Take that into account for 3* instead of 4.

We were dreaming of burgers and fries while hiking Ragged Mountain. After a quick Google we headed to The Spot and The Spot made all our burger and fry dreams come true. Great smash burgers and fries. Also loved the cole slaw and bang bang sauce. Nice outdoor area that we enjoyed with our pup. If we didn’t live in MA we’d be back here all the time. Highly recommend.

On my way home, hungry and tired, I stopped by to pick up a (very) late lunch. The folks who work there are good natured and helpful. Service was efficient and the atmosphere and music delightful!
Looking forward to a return visit with my husband and dining in. Love those picnic tables!

Ok long story short the smash burger and fries were perfect and the atmosphere sitting up on the screened deck was very nice! If I had to make a comparison I’d have to say In and Out burger (California) but better food

Burgers, beer, and ice cream with a laid back woodsy vibe. The smash burgers really hit the spot after a hike. Lots of different sauces so that you can mix it up. Really like the screened in deck to avoid the bugs. Convenience of the takeout option through online ordering is nice too. Prices were high when they are first opened but now are comparable to the area.

Great spot for a filling burger and fries at a reasonable price. They do have a vegetarian option as well as gluten free possibilities. Small menu keeps things simple. I had the burger salad which was exactly what it sounds like – burgers on top of mixed greens. The greens were crispy, the burger was tasty and I was overall satisfied. Would love a gluten free bun choice, but recognize good ones are hard to find and there probably aren’t enough people that ask.

The atmosphere put off family friendly vibes and we appreciated the screened in seating area which was lovely during the rainstorm. I would recommend this place for a quick bite or a nice laid back spot to grab a meal with friends.
