The Spot on Lakeshore offers breakfast, lunch and dinner Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, & Saturday. Sunday, traditional brunch (hours of 8AM-3PM) Features a full bar, lounge, dining area and party room all offering a casual, yet chic setting. The menu is a blend of your classic ‘go-to’ items such as eggs benedict and tuna melt, as well as some specialty items like coffee rubbed short rib hash and curried salmon burger with green onion cream cheese spread. Our chicken and waffles will keep you coming back. We have live music on Saturdays and Sundays from 11- 1 Pm. Follow us on socials for events, collaboration dinners and more. This has a Chicken&Waffle that’s so good. Stopped in for lunch on a cold day and were greeted with a friendly smile. There was a good lunch crowd but lunch came quickly and it was one of the best chicken& waffles I’ve tried – chicken was crispy and covered in gravy, sitting on a large waffle sitting in syrup. Our server was nice, helpful and quick. I want to remember The Spot – good food, good price and good people.

Food is typically really good here especially the chicken and waffle. Every time I’ve ordered it has been seriously really good. Chicken is crispy and gravy is delicious. Got the biscuits and gravy this time because I wanted a smaller meal. Biscuits and gravy were room temp/cold pretty disappointing honestly. Eggs were pretty good though. Waitress came and dropped the check off when we weren’t even close to finished eating. Felt like I was being rushed outta there. I was even planning on ordering another margarita but quickly changed my mind after she dropped off the check. The vibe in here is always good though and the live music is enjoyable.

Really great breakfast spot! The menu was a modern version of an old school breakfast joint. I had the short rib hash, my kids had biscuits and gravy, a kids waffle and the tiramisu pancakes.
Prices were good for the quality and quality of food.
Server was nice, professional and attentive.

I would 100% rather visit a place like this versus a chain. Would recommend to anyone visiting in the area.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Idk why I thought they served breakfast all day, but the burger I had was awesome! The other 2 sandwiches my friends had were equally good.

Went on a whim after I heard they had gluten free waffles. It was no lie!
I had a gluten free waffle, crispy hashbrowns and two eggs. All were cooked perfectly, and as I ordered it. Ma got the tiramisu pancakes and she loved them. Waitress was awesome, decor was awesome. definitely going back for lunch, definitely a hidden gem.

This place is so good I’m sitting at my table right now writing the review. I walked in, and it’s a full house. That’s always a great sign.
I ordered the chicken and waffles with a coffee. My server has been attentive especially given the amount of patrons here. My coffee is piping hot.
The chicken and waffles is one of the best I’ve ever had. The gravy is delicious. I close to never truly enjoy restaurant gravy. There’s just enough maple…. What a pretty dish.
This place is a no brainer. I will be back!
Update: I came in for breakfast on 4/20 with one of my girlfriends from out of town. We had a beautiful time with mimosas and live music.
This place just gets cooler and cooler with every visit! They have art pieces hung on the walls of local artists that are up for sale. Angela is a wonderful server. Top notch.
It was packed again, no surprise. Lake county loves this place. This is a hidden gem of Mentor-on-the-Lake.

I’ve yet to have a bad meal. When my mother in law and I walked in today the gentleman playing music was playing ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ which is obviously my song so that was extra special

December 2022: I went here one night to participate in a series of popup events that they are hosting for local artists and vendors. I met a lot of great people and even got to try one of their signature sandwiches–the salmon burger, which a salmon patty fried to perfection topped with scallions, cream cheese, pickled red onions, spring mix of veggies on a brioche bun. It sounded a bit weird at first until I tried it.
Pros:
* Good food. I want to try their spot burger and their famous chicken and queso nachos the next time that I visit. Rumor has it that they have a superb breakfast too.
* Cool, down-to-earth staff that worked hard to make sure that the orders arrived quickly.
* Clean restaurant/bar that is open to fresh ideas.
* Plenty of parking.
Cons:
* I was unable to drink alcoholic beverages because I was the designated driver for my family.

First off I ordered food from here on Doordash. Couldn’t penalize my rating because of never being there. My review is solely on food. Excellent omelette. Eggs were fluffy but not to much, the veggies in my omelette were nice sized pieces. The hash browns and sausage links were good but nothing fancy, just good old hash browns and sausage.

SLO skillet: crispy potatoes but soft on in the inside. Lots of flavor! But would recommend not putting the dollop of cream on top. The presentation could be better
