This is a great little restaurant in the middle of Carolina beach.
They have a nice bar and a great deck with out door seating. I had an oyster po boy sandwich with fries and it was very delicious, also the half and half ice tea was very good too.
Emma was my server and she was excellent and very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be going back.

After visiting Fort Fisher in Kure Beach we went looking for a place to have a late lunch and stumbled across The Spot Bar & Kitchen. Parking was tight by my pick up truck fit pretty well. The staff was super friendly and the menu was very varied. We had the specials that day (grouper and fries and ribs and fries) with Red Oak Amber. The food was outstanding as was the service and the prices were reasonable. Sorry we don’t live closer.

Stopped in to a great smelling bar with food that looked like it would rival many nearby restaurants. The locals and bartender kept things entertaining which is what was needed on a rainy day. I already had dinner plans elsewhere but it was hard not to want to order something with all the delicious food being delivered to the bar. Will definitely be back for what many regard as the best wings in town Black & Red. The complimentary Pork Skins were amazing + Thanks for a great time.

An outstandingly funky spot! Outdoor seating is plentiful and most is under cover. Dogs are welcome to join their families for drinks and/or food. The walls are covered with eclectic artwork and signage. The food was delicious and delivered with a smile. A large variety of beers and cocktails are available for your approval. I highly recommend the onion rings and the blackened shrimp wrap. My wife loved the crab cake sandwich! TWO THUMBS UP.

I’ve worked on the island for a few years and finally stopped to try the Spot. I must say the food is okay and I wasn’t really impressed. Just seemed like bar food to me. The Brussel sprouts were disgusting. Some were over cooked and other weren’t cooked enough. The burger itself was delicious, but seemed kind of pricey for what you get. I can get a better burger at Hang Ten. My friend got the Mahi and said it was delicious. I don’t think I would come here again.

Great “spot” to catch a meal. The patio is great, dog friendly, and very casual. I was at the beach with family. They have daily specials to go along with their menu. We got 3 shrimp baskets and a chicken basket (allergy to seafood). Two of the shrimp baskets were fried and one was blackened. The fried shrimp were jumbo, meaty, crunchy outside and tender inside and delicious. The blackened shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The steak fries were the perfect addition. Lemon wedges added a freshness if desired. The coleslaw was fresh and a nice side. The hush puppies were crunchy seasoned. All sauces (tarter, cocktail, ranch dressing, and honey butter) are homemade. That honey butter needs a patent! We left satisfied before heading to the boardwalk. Service was great. They were very busy, but everyone at the tables seemed to be getting everything they needed and everybody worked as a team. Repeat visit. My cousins split a shrimp basket with extra hush puppies. The shrimp was banging. Crispy yet tender. Other family got the nachos and devoured the whole thing. The chili was meaty and well seasoned. I got the Mahi sandwich blackened. Talk about melt in your mouth. My side was broccoli. So buttery and perfectly tender with some grated cheese on top. It was so good, it almost outshined the Mahi. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The owner took time to stop by the table. You can tell that the thoughtfulness and care starts from the top and continues down to all staff.

Lunch find, highly recommend! Grouper sandwich was plentiful and delicious. Swordfish skewers with peppers, onions, and pineapple were grilled to perfection. Definitely returning often.

My wife and I popped in for a late night drink and snack. Servers were great, we sat outside anytime one walked by they were sure to check on us. I ordered the black and red wings. Very unique flavor like nothing I’ve had. Definitely a step up from regular bar wings 7.8/10 My wife got some chips and queso for $3 bucks (worth it) we enjoyed are beers and time together. Definitely would come back and try something else!
