Food: For sure the best part of our night. I got the Vermont Burger and it had really good flavor – the fig jam paired well with the bacon. I also asked for the burger smashed… great choice! We also shared a few appetizers which I enjoyed – all of them were really tasty. The pomegranate martini was also so good!
Service: This is where they need the most help. Although the staff is friendly, they lacked the fundamentals to ensure the guest experience. When our orders were taken, when the food was brought out, and whenever the waitress/food runners interacted with us, it just felt off. Things like smiling, enthusiasm, confidence, and attention to detail were missing. Hopefully this is something the staff can improve on!
Atmosphere: I loved the vibes in the establishment. They have a super cool mural on the back wall that looks amazing. The place as a whole is a great example of how “the local bar and grille” should feel.
The server was a little distracted, but did come through with great recommendations and we accepted two of her recommendations in a party of three.
Portions were generous like two large pieces of fish (on chips). Cooked well. Food and drinks prices at par with a mid-level restaurant in NYC.
Ambience average. Overall a good experience.
Reasonable prices, quick , attentive service. Was HOPPING on a Friday night!
Noticed lots of FAMILIES!
Good place for sports watching!!
Trish, our bartender, was so friendly and helped explain the drink and dishes and what was made in house. I was impressed at the amount of things homemade and the large cocktail choices. The Spot Old Fashion had a smoke infusion and the peach sangria not too sweet. They were also reasonably priced at $11 and $8 respectively. The Spot Tots were also great with the chicken and the bee sting sauce.
Overall a great visit. Friendly people, good food and a nice vibe. I recommend a stop in.
Here is what we found:
This is the place to be for that warm, friendly neighborhood feeling. The SPOT is a great new family oriented bar and grill that really delivers with good food and a smile when you walk in the door. The owner is really “hands-on” to make sure your experience is positive. It seems to have just the right mix of after-work neighbors, sports fans, and families dining with kids.
Our food was excellent, and the cook staff took time to do the “extras”. The Lasagna was a great, pure Italian recipe (see the photo) Our server on this evening was Cindy and she was pleasant, extremely competent and very welcoming, especially since this was our first time at the neighborhood Spot. We had a great experience and can see that the place will be a great success!
