I stopped by here when I was on a camping trip at the state park nearby. It was dumping down several inches of rain so rather than just hang out under the tarp I escaped mother nature for a bite to eat.
I got a cheeseburger with tots and it was good.
The service was good as well, a very welcoming and homey feel to the place.

Catfish sandwich was amazing, my brother devoured the Philly on Texas toast, and his friend has the chicken fried steak or something lol we all agreed this was the best especially after a hike (which may have created a biased opinion).
The waitress with the piercings is awesome and had that southern soul hospitality.

Wow! The best find ever! If you are looking for a local favorite, perfect dive bar with the best food and friendly locals, then you have found your place! We had the bacon cheeseburger and patty melt, and they were both top-notch! We loved it so much that after our errands today, we’re going back for more of the vibe and great service!!

Great food and service. I found respite here after a short bike ride along the trails at nearby Lake Somerville State Park. It was very hot outside and the food and ice cold tea really helped me recover once I pushed past the cigarette smell. Get the steak fingers.

Great home-cooked food. Food is fresh, hot and served quickly. Lots of good menu options. The owners are wonderful people and the restaurant is interesting and a treasure trove of stuff. Saw a stuffed wolf and a mannequin arm on the back porch. Loved it! Really a fun place to go. Caught a beautiful sunset there. Truly a Texas small town experience.

Great food, great people, prices won’t kill you either. Don’t forget their homemade pies as well. It is both a bar and a restaurant so you can order however you feel like you went at the time. It is a family-owned business so high possibility that a young child will be walking around every now and then. But very well behaved and not going to bother anybody. I love these people and will highly recommend their business. Just not their parking situation
