Consistently Delicious. I’ve tried 95% of the menu, and it’s all great. The beef and lamb Gyro is amazing, same with the chicken! I recently switched to eating more plant based, and they have some great vegetarian and vegan options as well! The falafel and the seitan are great, the lentil soup was amazing and the prefect thing to warm upon this cold day. Even the Brussels are seasoned well. Very reasonable prices, and everybody always has a smile on their face. Great, local, family run restaurant!

This is my third time eating here and i absolutely love this place. Food 20/10, Customer Service 20/10, cleanliness 10/10 and parking is 8/10( parking can be hard to find in the area).
The food is filing but not heavy. My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place.
Ps. What you don’t see is the smash burger i ordered and ate before my platter was ready. Ask for the secret menu. You will not be disappointed

I recently tried The Spinning Gyro in Albany and ordered the Lamb Gyro Plate—it was absolutely wonderful! The portion was decently sized, making for a very satisfying meal. More importantly, the lamb was incredibly flavorful and seasoned perfectly, and all the elements of the plate came together beautifully. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Greek food in Albany, The Spinning Gyro is a must-try!

I had really high expectations based on the strong reviews, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing.
I ordered the mixed platter, and it did not meet the standard I was expecting. The lamb was extremely dry and lacked the tenderness you’d normally expect from gyro meat. It felt overcooked and had very little juiciness. The chicken was also tough and hard to chew, which made the meal less enjoyable overall. It didn’t have that fresh, flavorful quality you hope for in Mediterranean food.
The rice was probably the most underwhelming part, it was bland and tasteless, with no noticeable seasoning or aroma. For a platter that’s supposed to showcase authentic flavors, everything felt flat and lacking depth.
I really wanted to enjoy this place given the high rating and positive feedback from others, but this visit didn’t reflect that reputation at all. I hope this was just an off day, because based on my experience, the quality and flavor simply weren’t there.
