Simply the best.
By far the best Indian restaurant we’ve ever been to – anywhere. And we’ve been to a lot!
We discovered this gem a couple of years ago, and it just keeps getting better. Over the last six months, we’ve found ourselves going weekly – it’s that good.
The food is consistently delicious: rich in flavour, beautifully presented, and always cooked to suit your tastes. Whether you prefer a bit more heat or less sweetness, they’re happy to adjust – and they get it just right every time.
Incredible value, too. You won’t find quality like this for the price anywhere else, no matter what type of restaurant you go to.
Beyond the food, the manager is developing his team to deliver exceptional service. Warm and welcoming, with a lovely touch of humour. They are genuinely interested in your experience – it makes every visit a joy.
It’s now truly our absolute favourite place to eat.

Second time we’ve eaten here as a family (with young children), and it’s quite simply one of the most enjoyable and rewarding dining experiences that we have together. There’s a lovely local buzz and the wonderful staff take such pride in their unbelievably delicious food. The lamb chops are a firm favourite with our younger kids, whilst my wife and I would happily recommend any one of the chef’s specials! Critically, there’s loads of delicious options for every palette. Thank you all for another lovely evening and for making our kids feel so special and welcome – we can’t wait till next time!

We have eaten at every Indian restaurant in Alton, The Spice Bank is the only restaurant that doesn’t skimp on the amount of chicken in the dishes. We have noticed at other locations generous amounts of sauce but barely any meat or tiny pieces of meat with large chunks of vegetables. The dishes were all excellent and extremely flavourful, outstanding Pilar rice and vegetable rice, naan bread and popadoms with accompanying sauces. The service was outstanding. We will definitely be back, this is our favourite Indian restaurant in the Alton area.

Fantastic authentic Indian food with a great atmosphere and attentive staff. The dishes that we has were absolutely delicious and a few of my clients were extremely impressed!
This is certainly the best place for a decent Indian meal.

I couldn’t recommend this resturant enough. We came for my baby’s first birthday with family that had travelled down from Scotland and they made us feel welcome from start to finish. They Interacted with my baby in the most lovely way, checking in with us to make sure everything was alright and the food was fabulous. Thank you so much for giving us a wonderful experience, fab food and lasting memories.

Me and my friend went for dinner. Price of pint of coke £4.99. Food was ok and waiter was keep asking if plate ready to clear table don’t know why restaurant was almost quiet only 6 people dinning there. When we asked receipts of invoice he was bit rude don’t know why. Not very good service.

Amazing, delicious food and really good atmosphere! Portion sizes were large and every single dish tasted amazing and came out from the kitchen sizzling! Perfect fluffy naan breads and every curry was made perfectly! Lovely ambience in the restaurant- will definitely be going again soon =)

Monday night away from home and fancied a curry. They don’t come much better than this, highly recommended you try it. Only reason gave 3 for atmosphere, was it was 1st Monday after new year so pretty quiet.
