Visited last night for the first time to play Sporcle live trivia. The upstairs was nearly empty, maybe that’s normal for a Thursday night. I inquired about the trivia, and was told it was downstairs. I descended the stairs to a really interesting cavernous space, where there was only a bartender and one patron. Very echoey. I learned that there wasn’t a server, you need to get your own drinks from the bar and can order from a limited ‘speakeasy’ menu. I chose the pretzels ($5.86) and was disappointed that 2 pretzels meant two sticks. They were hot, fresh and delicious, but for the price there should have been more. I chose a very interesting beer, called Through the Fire and Flames. Having some hints of habanero, it’s one you sip for sure. I’ll definitely have that again.
My companion ordered from the upstairs restaurant by (no kidding) calling in her order. From downstairs. Then had to run upstairs to pick it up. Guys – when you’re playing a trivia match this is very awkward as is getting your own drinks. A server (and a menu from upstairs) would be great. When we go out for trivia night, we like to eat and drink. A lot. We would have consumed more and spent more if it was easier to do.
I do need to add that $9.00 for 4 little meatballs served in a box was crazy.
Overall – we’ll probably be back but may have to eat beforehand elsewhere.

Mixed reviews here. Loved the beer selections at the beginning, but now it seems to have declined in quality. Got a flight the last time, and all but one were undrinkable. Love the building and it’s historical charm. Bartenders are very friendly and attentive. It has a classy feel. Love the downstairs bar setup. Food is good, but pricey for what it is. Hoping the beer quality improves as we love everything else about it.

This is a very nice place.
The building is solid brick probably built 100 years ago but still standing strong.
There is a good feeling when you are inside.
The beer is good and people are friendly. Food is average.
It is definitely worth a stop in to give your own opinion.
My favorite part is the building.
Decorations are also nice.

Tucked away beneath the restaurant upstairs, The Speakeasy is a cool place to go grab a drink and some pizza with friends! The food is fantastic and the service is very quick and friendly. Sometimes, you might catch some live music down there, too!

Very good craft beer. Menu is a little small but different options so I’m sure you’ll find something you like. They make brick oven pizza that is a huge hit. Basement is a huge room with a bar tv for games and big enough they have a couple corn hole boards set up and giant Jenga.

We visited during First Friday and they were packed. They had a live band and they were great! A fun place! They can even accommodate a large group of friends.
