My husband and I have been here three times. The last two was Valentine’s Day wonderful meal meatloaf and Steak, deviled eggs. Second trip steak and garden salad with Steak. We ate again yesterday came in for Crab-cakes and Side of Brussel sprouts for two. The crab cakes were bite size three served on the plate, they were mushy for $17.99 for them. After eating them and got home we suddenly came down with diarrhea and vomiting. Have been sick all day. “We have not been available to eat anything since then”!! We are questioning if we should ever eat here again!! Total disappointed in a higher end restaurant. We are miserable sick.

One of the best restaurants in cape girardeau. Every plate was better than the last one. The mac & cheese was fantastic with noodles that were just firm enough. The catfish nuggets were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, well seasoned and not the least bit greasy. The Ceasar salad sressed to perfection abd tre croutons were like crispy pillows. Finally the fried green tomatoes were the bomb.com. I highly recommend this restaurant.

There’s plenty of parking. We tried to go on my husband’s birthday, but we had 7 people in our party. This was a Saturday too so very busy. Unfortunately, the wait exceeded 45 minutes so we did go somewhere else that evening. I debated earlier in the week calling to make a reservation, but never did. Next time we have 4 or more people I’ll call ahead!
My husband and I went the following Friday evening. No wait. Polite and warm greeting from the hostess. We were seated at a high top table. Our waitress, Sofia, was absolutely wonderful. She’s very personable, attentive and recommendations were great! She brought a palate cleanser plate- pickled onions, squash and butter bread pickles.
The food? Phenomenal. Pricey, but worth it. I ordered fried green tomatoes and crab cakes. My husband had the Not Your Mama’s Meatloaf. We ordered starters of brussel sprouts, Mawmaw’s hush puppies and gouda Mac & Cheese. Good portion sizes and had plenty of leftovers to take home.
I had 2 drinks- Tickle Me Pink Martini and The Bee Sting. I’d go back legit just for this drinks! My husband had the Basil Hayden Old Fashioned Southerner, which again super good.
The restaurant is very small so a bit cramped. That’s our only downfall we noted. Overall, great experience. We’ll definitely be dining here again.

AMAZING all the way!! The atmosphere was just right. High end but more casual, not over the top. Great music, not too loud not too low. Great service and UNBELIEVABLY delicious food. Most of all NOT OVERPRICED!! No arrogance anywhere. It was perfect!!

Excellent food and drinks from appetizer to dessert. It was our first time visiting and is now my favorite restaurant in Cape! The food just kept getting better and better with each dish! Fantastic dining experience.

Everything here was absolutely delicious. We popped in before heading to Benton to watch the races. Great decision. The spinach salad with hot bacon vinaigrette, the piggy Mac, the chicken club. Everything was so good!

Wanted to find something with local food while I was in Missouri, and we pick this place strictly from its name thinking we were going to get some down home southern food. We were pleasantly surprised to walk in and find a pretty upscale restaurant instead of a small town diner that we thought we were going to get. The waitress was absolutely fantastic and had great recommendations, one of which I took her up on, and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.( Get the pork chop.) The gouda mac and cheese alone is worth stopping here, but I urge you to try anything else on the menu… I think you’ll be hard pressed to find something you don’t like. I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Missouri just so we can come back here!

Nice restaurant with some items that were a new twist for us. The deviled eggs prepared 3 ways were an interesting take on this dish and the flavors were vibrant and worked well together. The steaks were very good, on par with a steakhouse. Conveniently located within the Drury Inn Plaza hotel it was an enjoyable dining experience.

I waited to be seated for about 7 minutes. We are all experiencing shortages so that wasn’t a big deal. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted. I ordered a mimosa and water. The drink was over ‘orange juiced’ but price point was great. I ordered the Dirty Cajun fries and they were ok. Generous pieces of bacon and filling. The fries were a bit undercooked which made them soggy but overall good.

I am not one to leave reviews but this experience needs to be shared . My husband and I had reservations for Valentine’s Day. Upon arrival we were taken to our table which was MAYBE 14 inches from the other tables on both sides of us. They were both full. The couple next to us was making comments about how close we were all sitting and even said she was trying to figure out how to get out and keep her dignity. We were so close together that the servers couldn’t even bring out food comfortably. Shorty after receiving our drinks a table opened up (only 2 seats but along a window) and my husband asked to seat us there. They REFUSED to move us . As we were paying for our dinner our server told us if we ever come back to tell them our reservation was for 4 instead of 2. The food was good but we go to dinner on Valentine’s Day for a nice evening out together. We will NEVER go back to the southerner again. That was clearly all about them making money without any concern for the people there to have a nice evening.
