Great local place! They have great coffees, hot ciders, and energy drinks. Last week I asked them to make me something that wasn’t on the menu. The barista was extremely nice and made sure I liked the taste of it before I left. This happened two different times with different baristas. Whether you ask for something on the menu or not, you will have a great experience

best coffee shop in town! love it being local! Used to be a Starbucks girl but switched over to southern cup and I can never go back! The baristas are always so friendly! You can also get a full gallon of any flavor of coffee!

We used to love coming to the Southern Cup (I remember when they opened; I was a customer their first week!), but in the last three years it seems like every time we get a latte, it tastes quite different — and not in a “different bean” type of way. The consistency in how it’s prepared, the amount of milk, the amount of flavoring, etc. was just off depending on which barista happened to be working.
For a while, I was able to identify if I was going to get a “good” coffee or not by who was working, and I could avoid ordering a latte if certain people were going to be making it. However, the lack of consistency caused us to slowly come less and less frequently and today is the last time. 🙁
The last latte (from today) — even cold — tasted burnt in a way that was like the machine hadn’t been cleaned out properly or was really old. For me, that’s to the point where it’s undrinkable, and I’m just not able to spend $5-7 on coffee if I cannot even choke it down. I’m still buying local coffee and not a chain, as I prefer local, but I won’t be back here for some time.
Honestly, I’m really sad about this. I contemplated whether or not to write a review, but my hope is that with criticism changes can be made for the better. Sending TSC owners, managers & staff all the love and hoping consistency will be brought back.

Good morning Google review stop at the Southern coffee shop and order a regular coffee. The owner I assume was dry as usual. I ask her not to steam my coffee. She did she steamed the cream. Steamed cream upsets my tummy. She as me if I wanted her to re do it, of course I do. Then I said don’t put the equal in it She act as if she didn’t here me an put the equal in. Which I’d fine I can live with that but she forgot to put in coffee in because my cup is filled with cream. Not happy with Southern coffee today. Returning it.

Little and local drive-thru coffee place. It is the best coffee I’ve ever had with at least 100 different coffee flavors, then probably a good 50 lotus energy drink flavors. You can’t go wrong!
