Was looking for a sandwich place in the Hales Corners area and found the Soup Market. The menu was simple. Cold sandwiches were kept in the cooler; hot sandwiches made on demand. I ordered a Reuben and chili while my daughter picked out a cold ham and cheese and chicken noodle soup. Soups are available in many sizes and you get free bread with16 oz + sizes. My daughter’s plan was to eat the sandwich and half the soup with leftovers for another meal.
The restaurant itself was no frills dining. The individual working was quite pleasant. The only thing I would caution someone on is the price. A Reuben, ham and cheese sandwich, 8 oz soup and 16 oz soup cost $35.

We have only gotten take out, but everything has been delicious! Loved the chicken noodle, tomato bisque, potato chowder… those have all been delicious. My husband who adds hot sauce to everything actually couldn’t handle the 5 Alarm chili, so maybe avoid that or order with caution!! The rice crispy treats are the best I have ever had! This is on our Milwaukee “where to eat” regular routine now, especially with winter coming! Everything tastes homemade and they couldn’t be nicer.

I haven’t been here since they moved locations and I thought I would give it a try. Very disappointed in the food and price. Paid $18.99 for a bowl of chicken and dumplings with a tuna melt. The tuna tasted fishy and the soup was very bland and the side of bread was stale. On top of that the price that I paid for lunch was ridiculous. The lady that waited on me was fantastic and very nice. I’m all about supporting small businesses, you need to do better!

The soups are amazing but the employees don’t make me feel like they care about food safety. The employee put her hand straight inside the bowl and then said she didn’t and laddled the soup in there anyway… so I didn’t buy it this time.

Let me start by saying the service was excellent. Great selection of delicious soups. Soup menu changes daily and is posted online. Hot tuna sandwich was great. Don’t forget the homemade cookies. Definitely going to make this a regular lunch stop.

I feel bad for them because they make a pretty good soup and fresh bread but their decor is really shabby. I know they are going through a revamping process so, I wish the well. I recommend getting your favorite soup to go so you don’t have to stay in there too long. They offer samples at least so you can taste them and then decide. I liked the split pea and ham. Their Broccoli chicken cheddar was a bit heavy on the broccoli and too light on the cheddar. The chicken was barely noticeable and kind of unnecessary. The BBQ pork chili wasn’t bad. Sweet and spicy with a bit too much stewed tomato. Best to just try it if you’re in the mood for hot soup on a cool cloudy day

We got a quart of chicken dumpling soup which had no chicken and was almost all broth. Also got a quart of hot dog chili which was just ok. We give the chili one star and the chicken dumpling one star. The bread however was very good. All together we paid almost $50. Feel like we got ripped off. This was the second time we were there. First time was so so and we thought we would give it another try. Definitely not worth the money. Very overpriced for soup that’s not even as good as canned soup. I’d rather buy a can of progresso soup.

Good soup options. Got the chicken and dumpling and cheddar broccoli soup and a turkey sandwich with the chocolate rice crispy treat and the oreo rice crispy treat. Everything tasted great
