Love The Social Plate! Second visit back and just as impressive as my first. Warm and cozy family café. Favorite menu item – The Crème Brûlée Waffle Crispy, sweet and topped with fresh fruit. I like to add a side order of bacon… because you know, Bacon! My Waitress was Nickie! Very professional and attentive. Thank you.
You can tell the owners know what they’re doing, and the staff always makes you feel welcome. Great spot for breakfast or lunch in Downtown Bartow!

We went this morning, Sunday, around 10:40 am. It was still just 31 degrees out. The FL 2026 Winter Snap!
Everything started out very nicely. Seated immediately, table by the window, and greeted by our server. We both ordered coffee which was brought promptly. Both coffees had spoons, mine had lipstick still on it. No biggie, they brought me a new one. The small bowl of creamer had, at one point, coffee spilled all over it because every individual creamer had coffee splatter stains all over. Again, we looked past that and used the creamer. Asked our waiter for napkins and silverware. Napkins were what we actually needed at the time to put our coffee spoons on after stirring in the cream. Never got them. Finally when our food arrived, so did the napkins and silverware. By this time, the coffee had cooled. We had another server come by after flagging her down. I explained our coffee had gotten cold and we needed more. She said she’d be happy to and would be right back. We’ll, to my surprise, just like our napkins and silverware were forgotten, so was the coffee!! Food was warm, not hot- especially the white gravy. We ended up just paying our bill and leaving. Second time there, might not go back.

I’ve never had a bad meal here. This was my first lunch visit. Lunch is even better than breakfast. Among the best smashburgers that I’ve ever had. The only knock was that they would not sub out the fries for another side or healthier option. My wife had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and speckled butter beans. All were so good.

The best place to get breakfast in Bartow FL. Food is really good and service is excellent. Not to many places in Bartow to get awesome food and great service so if you want to have great food come try this place. They are open 7-2 everyday but Monday. Come try them out you will not be disappointed.

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️s excellent atmosphere and this food was amazing… it was super cold we all got fresh hot chocolate super fast since it was so cold! We even sat by a personal heater!! Food was yummy had the crème brûlée waffle and my boyfriend had the country fried steak… forgot to take pictures but we did have Ashley as our server whom went above and beyond…. Ashley was calm cool and collective!!! As we had her last Saturday for our first time! We came from wachula and will do it every weekend!

The restaurant has a charming interior and a competent, friendly waiter, which are certainly positives. However, the food itself was uninspiring bland in flavor and visually unappealing, lacking the creativity or punch one hopes for in a memorable dining experience. Portions were generous, but that alone does not elevate the overall impression.

This was such a little hidden gem for us on a road trip! The staff was absolutely incredible, we had the kindest man as our server! He was absolutely on top of it, went above & beyond, and was so incredibly polite! Our food came so quick & the food was delicious! Great spot and would love to come back next time we pass through!
