The Social Club Taos is an absolute gem—stylish, welcoming, and serving some of the most creative cocktails in town. I started with the Agustus Gloop, which seemed to be a fun Willy Wonka–inspired chocolate martini, and it was nothing short of magical. Rich, playful, and beautifully balanced, it’s the kind of drink that’s well worth every penny and memorable enough to come back for. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere that makes the whole experience even better.

I also ordered the hummus, which they make completely from scratch, and it shows. Creamy, fresh, and full of flavor, it’s easily one of the standout appetizers and absolutely worth checking out.

From the inventive drinks to the thoughtful food, The Social Club Taos delivers a top-tier experience. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Way over rated. Drinks are only made with their own brand of liquor which would be fine if they were any good. Margarita served in a 5oz wide champagne glass full of ice, impossible to discerne any mezcal at all. Bartender told us the place no longer allows mix to order and instead makes a large batch of “mix” with unknown ingredients. I get it if busy, but when asked when they are that busy, the answer is never.

The worst part was I ordered BBQ chicken sliders, $14. What came out was a single Tyson (or similar) small chicken tender cut in half and split between two small buns. Warm but not hot. One bun bottom was stale/crunchy. Came with mayo. The bbq sauce was forgotten and came in a plastic side dish (like for salsa). So embarrassingly bad I cannot believe a restaurant would serve this, much less charge $14 for it.

Walked in on a Sunday around 5pm.

The place was warm and welcoming.

There was a Greg DiLeo singing songs and playing on the guitar and the place was alive.

I sat down and ordered a local draft beer from the most dutiful lady bartender.
I ordered the Waygu Beef Sliders w fries.

Let me tell you…this is the way sliders were meant to be made! Every ingredient was on point and I was in tiny burger heaven!

I will keep coming back to try what I hadn’t before. I’m definitely a fan now.

Very chill vibe and laid back. Singer with a guitar kept the live music going until about 45 minutes to closing. Food was really fresh and drinks were great… they made me a mocktail that started out blue but once you stirred it, it turned pink from the reaction with the lemon juice!

Great drinks, mediocre food, cold service. Not expecting to be fawned over or anything, but it felt like we were really imposing on the bartender. I might come back for a show or something, but wouldn’t recommend.

Very pleasant place for a light dinner or appetizer. Standouts here are the cocktails. Stretch your palate and tell the bartender to tweak one of the craft cocktails to your liking. Many of the spirits, syrups, sugars are crafted locally which creates lively drinks. They offer music on the weekends, but remember this is Taos in the post covid world and hours are quite abbreviated.

Lovely little cocktail bar right by the plaza. I had the lavender hot toddy, one of their changing daily specials. Original and unique recipes along with the classic standards. Looking forward to seeing this place grow, I can definitely see it as part of Taos’ budding nightlife scene.

We went in a 4 when they opened and had cocktails which were good. There was one wait staff for both the bar and all the tables. Took a while to get drinks and we ended up leaving when wait staff didn’t return. Band was setting up so was loud.
