The food here is wonderful. My wife and I have been coming here for years and the steaks are always perfectly cooked. This is absolutely the best dinner restaurant around. The cocktail menu is also excellent. Reservations are almost mandatory because of they do not have a reservation from 730 onward, they will close as soon as the last seated table is done. Love this gem of a restaurant

it was nice to see how when a customer walked in they knew who they were. such a small town that everyone knows everyone.
It was weird seeing alot of Trump stuff everywhere but that’s just their thing I guess.
I highly recommend to try this restaurant out.

What a great restaurant, they were booked for the evening but gave me a spot at the bar and still made my experience a priority.
Food was prompt, service was amazing, and the food itself was exceptional!
Highly recommend, their portions are large and you get your money’s worth at every stage. I had their Ribeye and it was a top 5 Ribeye for me, and I’ve been all over the US!
Definitely save room for the cheesecake, it’s really delicious

Best dinner out in a very long time. I have hopped to have a meal like this every time we travel and eat out. Candidly the best meal for all of my family and is well worth the drive!

It was weird. The restaurant was pretty empty. I only noticed a couple of other tables that had customers. The one right beside me must have been regulars because the woman that “greeted,” me and was my server, chatted them up the entire time I was there. However, wouldn’t speak to me. Didn’t respond to thank you, or really anything I said and acted as if I was a bother. I guess I was as she kept telling the other table she couldn’t wait to leave, about her concert tickets. The food was very good, but pretty salty. The salad I had was excellent. I don’t care how good the food is anywhere I go, if servers treat “outsiders,” as my server did me, I’d never return. I rarely post reviews but the servers attitude was reprehensible.

I was lucky enough to find this Gem when out in neighboring John Day for the Oregon BMW club annual rally. Great meal, served up by great people. On a positive note, you’re not likely to run into Joe, Kamala, Dr. Jill or Hunter in the bar, and that’s a good thing. I’ll make sure to come back.
