We ate here for Blue Grass and Fried Chicken. The food was pretty good for a buffet. The people working here are very friendly and it’s got a nice southern feel.

The Skillet was right beside the Folk Center, so we walked over to enjoy some home style cooking. The atmosphere was wonderful. Almost every seat had a view of wildlife out the big picture windows. The service was friendly and fast. The food was delicious. It’s just a touch on the slightly more expensive side, but worth it for us.

The food here is definitely a safe, satisfying meal. But the signature Arkansas hospitality and many bird and squirrel feeders artfully placed just outside the glass surrounding wall make this ALWAYS one of the best places to stop in this area. Clean and dependable, great local art on display and for sale. Super amazing humans working here, great to bring kiddos in spring, the architecture supports wildlife watching! Beautiful rocks, trails, and gardens adjacent. Especially if you’re camping in the area, this is a welcome indoor respite.

I would come back here for the view before the food. Such a beautiful setting, but the food was average at best. My husband got the bison burger and it was much better than my bland chicken and waffles sandwich with soggy sweet potato tots. The highlight was watching the squirrels and birds right outside the windows.
