All 24 participants at a Concordia family reunion visited The Simple Life during our stay in town. Its very “country” and rustic offering a relaxing atmosphere. Entrance is through an antique store that offers a collection of treasures from days gone by. Next to these is a small room with local “provisions”, including jams, summer sausage, honey, apple butter, trail mix and other goodies to nosch on during the trip home.

Best iced coffee along with the best service! I was driving through the area and stumbled upon this charming, unique antique/coffee shop that serves breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try the food, but I plan to stop again next time I’m in the area. It has two darling bed n breakfast studios to rent. Debbie, the owner took care of me. She is one of a kind. You have to check this place out. It is truly a hidden gem.

Traveling through on I70, needed coffee, found this place on maps.

Definitely worth the stop, cute little antique shop. But the coffee is AMAZING. The gal making the coffee is awesome, friendly and fun to talk to. No need to add anything to your coffee once she’s done either, perfect taste.

The Simple Life is everything you hope to find in a small town spot and more. The food is absolutely delicious with so many homemade options! A new flavor of soup and cake each week! What really sets them apart, is how much they care about their guests. They’ve gotten to know us personally, and my daughters love everyone there so much! When our family came to visit from out of town, they stayed in the suites they offer there and were beyond impressed. Clean, cozy, and welcoming! They accompanied them with anything they needed! We’re so grateful for The Simple Life and all the heart they put into what they do. Concordia is lucky to have them!

Food was great and service was awesome! We were visiting from AZ and my daughter works nearby so we met during her lunchtime and shopped in the antique shop that is there. Never felt rushed. Delicious peanut butter cake! So glad we went.
