Had a wonderful time at Silver spur for dinner tonight.
Wifey had the mini burger and loved it quite a bit.
I had the black and blue burger which was on the special and boy was it delicious..
Great service from Lisa! She made it a very enjoyable evening and was right there when we needed her. Looking to come back again very soon!
(Several weeks ago) Met some friends there. First time for all for of us. I ordered the OPEN FACED ROAST BEEF SANDWICH, and it was tender, juicy, and delicious.
Wifey had the GARLIC CORD SPECIAL. She liked it ok, but said it was a bit on the small side, size wise. Their fries are wonderful! Wifey liked her mashed potatoes. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals!
Well be returning soon!
OH OH …. PROBLEM!!!!!
It appears that one of the cooks QUIT on the spot and walked out. That set everything back a bit on time. No problem for us four, we enjoyed our unhurried conversation. CHRIS was a wonderful server. Very attentive even down a man. The owner (Bill) rushed outside to apologize to a patron for the delay in serving due to the cook who walked out. We witnessed that and thought…. Hey, this guy REALLY cares for his customers. Then he rushed over to my wife and I and PROFUSELY APOLOGIZED (which was unnecessary). We will definitely be returning. My only negative would be that it seemed to get a bit loud for awhile.

The service was outstanding. The owner checked on us and even bussed tables. Steaks where cooked perfectly. Smoked brisket fries has some of the best brisket I’ve had and I’ve had them all within 50 miles. Great value.

I enjoyed this place when I enjoyed the service. Our waitress always went out of her way it seemed like to make sure our food was prepared the way we wanted. The swear words coming from the kicthen was ridiculous after we needed our food fixed. Seems like u recently lost your best waitress. The food isnt good enough to keep us coming back. Foods has been rough and inconsistent for the last year it seems like.
And to respond to the owner because he clearly doesn’t take accountability. I do not know the waitress she was just always very polite. If I did I would have said her name because she was the best there. This is why businesses fail. By most of the reviews it seems like the service is always nice but the food sucks. The way you respond to reviews is sickening.

So we stopped here for dinner because I was really wanting to try this place. The atmosphere was pretty good and the waitress was great. She was on top of the drinks and asking if we needed anything. The food was far from perfect. My nephew ordered the chef salad and they left some items off. His salad consisted of lettuce, cheese and dressing. Next, my daughter ordered the chicken wings which I tried and they were well overcooked. But the worst was my chicken fried chicken. It was raw in the middle. Now as our dinner was brought out, five other families showed up to eat. So naturally the girls were busy getting drinks and handing out menus. So I patiently sat there and ate half of my mashed potatoes and my grilled zucchini. I had already eaten some of my chicken before I noticed it was raw, only like four bites. She finally came over and was very disgusted with the raw chicken I showed her. She quickly came back and said they are fixing me a new plate. But everyone else was done eating so I told her just put it in a to go box. We were seated facing the kitchen, so I knew it was the cook who made my to go order and boxed it up. Needless to say, when we made it back to the room and I opened the box, there was a very small piece of chicken no sides. I wouldn’t have minded if they just put the remainder of my sides in the box. But instead I was left with a very small piece of chicken. The receipt shows I had raw chicken.

We came in and ordered a mixed drink that the poor waitress obviously didn’t know how to make… ok, sent it back. Seems easy enough. Ordered the second drink- this time different. It was done right. Burger was delicious-hubby says- – ordered pie. We got a small piece that wasn’t done all the way- sad. We have had this before and it is usually perfect. Not tonite. If I could say so, please train the personnel so that they understand how to make a drink. Thanks also make sure they understand to serve the food thatlooks good, but that is done. Sorry guys I have to be honest here if I’m not then how can you improve wishing you all the best- we will be back

We tried The Silver Spur Restaurant for the first time this weekend and IT WAS SO COZY, GREAT SERVICE AND ALL AROUND A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!! I got a steak dinner and my husband got the hamburger steak dinner they both were AMAZING!!!

I tried this place last night for the first time. I was in a group of 7 people. We were sat and waited on in a timely manner, we did get approached by multiple people, but that’s never a bad thing. Our food came out hot and in a timely manner. The atmosphere was cozy, westerny, home town feeling. I personally felt the food was just the normal cafe food with cafe pricing. Nothing really stood out for me about the food. The service was good though, and we just happened to stop in while bingo was happening and that was a fun experience. Definitely would try this place again and order something different to get a good taste of verify.

Awesome little spot! A must stop n eat! Inexpensive and absolutely endearing. Devoured my cheeseburger and cheesecurds before I thought to take a picture of them. Just a testament to their deliciousness The fried okra is the best I’ve ever had! Tater tots are crispy and golden brown. Just a phenomenal place all around.

This is one of the best restaurants in SW MO. I had the Prime Rib French Dip because it was the special and it was the best I have had. The quality of the meal was all around wonderful and affordable. The staff are kind and attentive.
The owner said the sandwich is on the menu so it’s available anytime.
Highly recommend.
