This place is a hidden gem. Total dive bar, and not the type of place you go to for a multi ingredient cocktail. But of you want a beer or a shot, this is your place. Also, their specialty is the John Daly – an alcoholic version of an Arnold Palmer with hard tea and lemon vodka served in a pitcher. But the REAL hidden gem – if you dont eat pork or beef but miss a good hotdog, this place has the BEST veggie hotdogs in the ENTIRE city. Seriously, prove me wrong. Also, they got damn good veggie burgers too (they even got a veggie burger with cheese and veggie chili). And the esquites – chefs kiss. Come for the food, stay for the beer and the good vibes. Silver medal takes the gold for veggie hot dogs in Austin.

Distinctive little local bar with more space out back than inside. I enjoy their cheeseburger with a native Texas beer while watching a Chuck Norris movie. This place is a priceless piece of Austin.
They have several tap beers, cocktails, shots, burgers, and hot dogs, including combo specials. They have a large free parking lot just off the highway frontage road.

I saw the hotdog sign on the outside so I pulled over and walked in. The beer was cold, served in bottle, no draft. The food was great but more importantly the customers were nice and conversations were easy and great. I’ll definitely be back.

If your looking for an Austin dive bar with no frills, say no more. This hole in the wall will give you all the unwanted ambiance of an upscale old sneaker without the smell. Love this place.

Hidden gem. Some of the best burgers and patty melts you can find at a dive bar. We also got the frito pie and it did not disappoint. Not the fanciest joint, but great food and beer. The place is small and quaint but that’s just part of its charm.

Chill low-tech dive bar but ouch at those prices. A double deep eddys and a burger will run you 30 bucks. Those are not dive bar prices.
The burger was exactly what I’d expect from a dive bar, greasy small and kind of burnt, but that’s what I was looking for.
The prices are the only reason I won’t be returning, everything else was fine.

This place is exactly like it wants to be. The food is good, the beer is beer, and it can take a while to place an order, but who cares. Great bar without the pretense of “new” Austin vibes.
