The Silver Dollar is a reimagined 1950’s Bakersfield California style Honky-Tonk. It’s an homage to the hard working southerners transplanted in Southern California backed by a soundtrack of gritty Honky Tonk music. The menu is a modern take on traditional working-class dishes that might have been found in Bakersfield during the era. The Southern roots are obvious in dishes such as Hickory-Smoked Pulled Pork, Texas-Style Chili, Shrimp and Grits, Fried Chicken Livers, and Collard Greens. The Silver Dollar also houses one of the largest collections of Single Barrel Kentucky Bourbons in the world.
Plentiful bourbon & Southern eats such as chicken ‘n’ waffles mark this modern honky-tonk hangout.

This is a must stop for Bourbon and Whiskey lovers. There’s a lot to choose from here and they also have a good selection of crafted cocktails. Their take on the Old Fashioned is solid.
There’s a small and diverse food menu. I had heard about their beer can hen, but, apparently that is no longer on the menu. Went with the Chicken and Waffles instead which was very good. The Nashville Hot maple syrup could have stood to have more of a kick.
It’s primarily a bar, so, it’s pretty loud in there.
Sw vice was very friendly and attentive.

An absolute must-visit for bourbon lovers! The selection here is top-notch, featuring incredible pours, including vintage gems and rare finds. The option to purchase a store pick bottle is a fantastic touch, making the experience even more special. The food is just as impressive—perfectly paired with the bourbon lineup. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great pour. And Brian? He’s the best—knowledgeable, welcoming, and passionate about bourbon. Can’t wait to come back!

Everyone needs to check out The Silver Dollar without hesitation. Our first time going to this bar and we were blown away by the friendly service before we even sat down and ordered. We first met Jay & he served us at the bar prior to sitting at our table and made sure we were good several times as he was busting his butt around the restaurant and never skipped a beat. He greeted everyone who came in and never missed anyone. We then met the owner, Brian who checked on us throughout the night and gave us so much information on whiskey that we never knew before. Then we met Jarid(I apologize if I spelled your name wrong) who took over when we were sat at our table and we had a great time with him for the rest of the night. Everyone went above and beyond, the most kind people, phenomenal food(shoutout to everyone in the kitchen!!) & the vibe of the restaurant was definitely a favorite for us!! If we ever get the chance to go back to Kentucky again, we will definitely be stopping in.

Started our day at the Silver Dollar when heading out to various distilleries in the area. Service was fast and nice, and the variety of food/drinks options was great. The biscuits and home fries were excellent and our drinks delicious. Definitely want to highlight the awesome bourbon selection as well. To note, you order food and drinks at the bar and service at the table is limited. Regardless, would definitely come back.

BEST STOP IN LOUISVILLE for a top notch and very broad whiskey selection, as well as unbeatable hospitality and an AMAZING vibe! Brian (sp?), the owner, is HUMBLE and EXTREMELY KIND, and a fellow whiskey nerd. He has something SPECIAL on the bar for EVERY whiskey drinker and his crew is very knowledgeable and kind, to boot! The whiskey selection will blow the minds of even the pickiest of the whiskey nerds and their house barrel picks are nothing less than PHENOMENAL! During our first visit, my wife shared that we were celebrating my birthday for which he quickly asked what year I was born. Before I knew it, Brian had a pour ready, vintage of my birth year! Stopped in at The Silver Dollar and it did not disappoint. My wife got the burger and fries—those fries were absolutely on point, perfectly seasoned and crispy. I went a different route and ordered a dish with chips and eggs… and wow. Crazy good, hearty, and full of flavor.
The atmosphere is laid back but still buzzing with good energy, and the staff made us feel right at home. Definitely one of those spots where you leave already planning your next visit. Yum!

This place was so inclusive and I loved it. I gave it a 4.5 because I didn’t like the ordering process. You didn’t have a clue what the food or drinks looked like. I forgot what the app was but with 8 people ordering things it was a bit much. The servers were quite friendly. The food was tasty! I loved the fried pickles and sparkling julep.

First time at this restaurant and was so grateful they were open on New Years Day! We came in the evening around 5:30z I didn’t get our waitress name but she was incredible. Took our order because we didn’t want to order from our phones. She graciously didn’t mind. Excellent service gal. Please recognize her. She was incredible! The best burger I have ever ate. I think it was called the “Smash Burger”. Thanks so much. We will be back.

The food was pretty decent. I appreciate any place that has vegan friendly options. I also like when places don’t have a huge menu but have a good selection of food. The decor is nice and I love the brick wall accent behind the bar. The service was friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. I felt really comfortable and had a good time. We got a bottle for the table and it was decently priced and yummy.

Great place with an amazing selection of bourbon. Got to talk with a manager (maybe owner) about the selection all; so knowledgeable. Great prices on the pours; including the finer ones. Some options that are very hard to get as well. Got the taquitos and they were excellent. I will be back for sure.
