The Shrimp Box was a true hidden gem! We usually don’t eat at establishments such as this one, but this day we went with it and we were so glad we did! Don’t let the exterior or interior push you away. It almost did for us because we are most use to those commercialized establishments. As for the food, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection! The shrimp had the fresh ocean taste that comes from no other than straight from the water. The flounder was so flaky and just right not too fishy and just enough taste. I would definitely recommend the Fried Flounder & Shrimp!

The restaurant sits inside of a beautiful old home. It presents a cozy, southern setting for guests. Our waiter Teddy was quick with the service provided. The bang bang shrimp was cooked perfectly. It was a pleasant dining experience.

Finally stopped in at The Shrimp Box so glad we did! I had the fried shrimp basket and he had the flounder and shrimp combo basket. Both came with fries! Everything was seasoned really good. We will definitely be back!

The food selection is limited. First I chose the blackened salmon salad, but they didn’t have it. My 2nd choice was fish tacos that come with fries. The food was fresh and good. The fries were not too salty and tasted good. I’d rate my food about 4.
My husband had a chicken salad and I had a bite of it. Chicken had a good flavor and salad mix was fresh.
I do think it’s a bit pricey for the food they serve and the service provided.
I wouldn’t get out of the way to eat here but it was a convenient stop and served its purpose.

I can’t rave enough about how awesome this place was! Stopped in after finishing up moving into the area, and I had a craving for a Shrimp Poboy. It definitely exceeded expectations. Our host was so friendly and informative. He gave us several recommendations of must-see places in the area and was just a great conversationalist. My partner went with the Crab cake Sandwich and she absolutely loved it. If you’ve seen this place and thought about stopping by but haven’t, this is your sign to do so. Great southern cooking!

Dropped by around 230 for a late lunch on a Tuesday afternoon and discovered it was taco Tuesday, they had a great deal for two tacos either fried fish or shrimp that comes with a side of coleslaw and fries and hush puppies for $10… i’ve gotten shrimp and fish tacos from all over the country and this was definitely top 10% and quality and a phenomenal price, highly recommend this place and a quiet little area just east of Alberta and I plan on coming back again to try more food on their menu!!
