We fell in love with the fresh flavors that left us wanting more. My wife and I enjoyed our meals with Rye (me) and a rose (my wife) and my boys 1 and 3 just loved the pizzas.
The deep dish crust is biscuit like but solid enough to pick up the slice and surprisingly light, flakey, and crunchy in all the best ways.
The traditional is crispy, flavorful with the right crunch, and chew that won’t leave you disappointed.
Both had amazing sauce and all the toppings tasted so fresh, you can tell the difference. These pizzas are master crafted.
now we get to the cookies…. OMG… Almost cake like in the center but not dry, gooey but not goopey, crispy on the outside. This is not a store bought take and bake cookie. This is is the cookie grandma wish she made.
Overall everything was 10 out of 10, the staff is amazing, friendly and informative. Come and love it!
Just FYI, deep dish takes time, it’s not the service it’s the way it’s done and done right. If my toddler could wait, anybody can. It’s worth it!!!!
Drinks and cocktails were exceptionally selected – and you have to try the deep dish
10/10
The white/red wine selection rotates periodically and offers a good variety. A few people in our group started off with a refreshing, cold/sparkling red Lambrusco. Others enjoyed a Malbec, New Zealand Pinot Noir, and robust California Cabernet.
The Shop’s team continually seeks out new whiskeys to share. This past week, the staff brought back a Woodinville Bourbon from Washington state. The bourbon was light-to-medium bodied, with a pleasant nose, and it elicited discussion on its notes of caramel, chocolate, and vanilla
The Fancy Caesar salad veered away from the traditional ingredients, with items such as dark leafy greens, hard boiled eggs, and bacon. A nice lighter choice among their offerings.
The Hawaii 5-0 pizza was topped with fresh pineapple chunks, red onions, thinly sliced jalepenos, and tasty Canadian bacon. It was paired with a thinner, made from scratch crust to make an overall tasty slice.
Also recommended are The Shop’s hearty deep dish pizza offerings, with a cornmeal-type of crust (nice texture / mouth feel) to complement thick layers of sauce and fresh ingredients.
Special thanks to Tanisha and Jesse for being long-time supporters of the community through their professional and friendly service! Wishing you the best with furthering The Shop’s substantial curated whiskey offerings!
After that, I knew I had to return to try their thin crust. Since deep dish is their signature, I was curious to see how their thin crust compared. I ordered half cheese, half pepperoni to keep it simple. The sauce had a nice tang, and the cheese was flavorful, but the crust was thinner than I expected—I was hoping for something closer to a classic New York-style crust with a bit more puff. While it wasn’t bad, I’d say the deep dish is where The Shop truly shines.
For anyone in the area, I’d recommend giving them a try, especially if you’re a deep-dish fan. As for me, I’ll be sticking with their specialty on future visits!
Previous review: Our new favorite pizza spot in our neighborhood. I’m so glad we found here. It’s still kind of a new place so it doesn’t have so many reviews. But you should trust how much people love here so far. The pizza we tried is their home-made meatball deep dish pizza, it was super deep dished with a lot of cheese and sauce and meatballs! The bottom crust is pretty thin for a deep dish, the side crust is crunchy and yummy! The crust tastes like “corn bread” to me. I also loved their cocktails, they looked so nice, tasted nice and professional! We will come back here for sure and will try the normal traditional pizza too.
Overall great experience, and you can order to go! Staff is very friendly, and helpful!
I have food allergies, which makes dining out tough at a lot of places, but here they’re genuinely accommodating and go out of their way to make sure I’m safe and comfortable.
Love this place — 5 stars all the way!
