Visited today for a late lunch and food was absolutely delicious, service great and lovely atmosphere, even better is a choice of gluten free food which was spot on. Dog friendly too and staff brought dogs water bowls and a puppy was in and they gave him a treat which as a 5 dog owner means alot to witness their care. Will be our go to place in North Berwick. Has outside seats front and back and not too busy for a Friday when we’ve come back for a drink before our train, nice to get a seat rather than have to stand. Thank you ☺️

The pub you hope to find in a quiet seaside village! Dog friendly, never too busy but good atmosphere and friendly staff. Last orders for food were at 8pm but so worth it. Burger and fish was good quality and cooked well. TVs for any sports too.

Stayed in North Berwick for four days, ended up eating here twice it was so good! Steak and ale pie, and the fish & chips were excellent. Jalapeño poppers starter is a good size with chilli sauce dip. Jalapeño cheesy nachos excellent, and beef chilli came in a separate bowl so good for sharing if one of you doesn’t want the beef chilli. Comfortable booths, very quick service and wonderfully friendly staff. Oh, and the beer’s excellent.

Excellent pub. Friendly staff, menu not huge but good choices. Portions good and very well cooked and presented. Great range of beers including Staropramen on draught .

Smashing service, great food, live football. Authentic Scottish pub experience. Tom served us very well, with friendly service and fantastic recommendations. They use a lot of local produce and the result show for themselves. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Parking is also a breeze as there is a free car park across the road. Cannot recommend enough 10/10.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Had seen online that dogs were welcomed but checked before hand anyway and they made sure that I was happy with a booth before just booking me in and dumping me there.
Very good selection of food and drinks and all at great prices. A bit more selection on kids mains would be nice but we didn’t struggle with the choices. Everyone enjoyed the food, mine was the hotdog (with the red chillies added from the ribs) and it was very nice and messy with too much to hold in the bun which meant I had a lovely mess to mop up with my fries after.

Went for fish and chips on the recommendation of a friend and wow, I couldn’t rate it highly enough. Genuinely friendly staff, great surroundings and the fish……fresh as anything, flaked to perfection- and the size of a whale. What else could you want. It went a treat with a crisp and perfectly chilled sav blanc. Recommend 100%.

‘Under New Management’ and they better give the chef and staff a pay rise… We have not had a better ‘pub grub’ meal like this for years, it was amazing! The pub is now focusing on doing meals and has spent a lot making it covid19 safe (see pics). The meals all came piping hot with steam rising from them, which is unusual. The Ship Inn Burger was delicious, in fact near to perfection. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and kept us safe. We used the government scheme but bill for 4 with two courses with drinks would be £80. Please watch as outside tables at front and rear court yards are available to smokers. Highly recommend this restaurant and congratulate the kitchen team for wonderful meals.
