Not impressed! I had the pulled chicken plate. The meat was dried out and did not have a lot of flavor. I couldn’t eat anymore after two bites. The sides weren’t much better. The Mac n cheese was noodles covered by some sauce that had no flavor. I didn’t like the potato salad. I did get a taste of someone’s brisket and it was pretty good.

As someone who has watched this business on MANY food shows, I have wanted to try them for years. Boy did this location disappoint. Starting from the beginning, the young woman at the counter was not interested in taking any order’s. And most every thing we asked about, they were out of, only 1 drink machine worked and they were out of most of that. The pulled pork was so dry it was crunchy, the baby back ribs had zero flavor other than the super sweet sauce they were swimming in. The macaroni salad was very dry, the taste of Bell pepper overwhelmed the bbq beans. The chopped brisket was good and we really enjoyed the sausage. They were out of every other meat on their menu. The bathroom was awfully nasty, I decided not to use it.

Absolutely excellent BBQ. Tried to go in a Sunday and there were about 40 people waiting outside. Went on a Tuesday and there was no line. I ordered the pound of wings, but they said it is sold in increments of 6. Wings were excellent. 2nd best wings I’ve ever had, the best were at the Shed in Mississippi. Everyone I went with liked their food. Huge outdoor covered seating area. Will go back. Bathrooms were super clean.

Highly over rated. Brisket and sausage was over cooked and dry. When looking at the brisket you couldn’t even see the smoke ring. Got Mac and cheese and coleslaw as sides, they had no flavor. Save your money, go somewhere else.

My husband and I had waited for a while to try The Shed and were really excited that there might finally be a really good BBQ Restaurant in Baton Rouge. We went for dinner tonight. Disappointed does not even begin to describe it. First, it is a Huge place, and at 6:30 pm we were the Only ones in the entire place. The menu board only gives menu items…not one price was listed…which is obviously by design because we ended up paying over $45 for a sandwich, 2 ribs and a few slices of sausage. They also ask for a tip Before service, which is counterintutive…how can one reward service is there has been none? The fried okra was cold–the potato salad was not. The positives–the pulled pork was lean and very tasty. The ribs, what there was of them, were good. Mediocre at best-and definitely not enough bang for the buck.

I’ve played volleyball here several times and the atmosphere is great, in my opinion. We ate here for the first time and just weren’t impressed by the food. Our order was messed up, but the service was great and they fixed it no questions asked which was something to be noted. I give 5 stars to both the service and atmosphere but the weight lies mostly in the quality of the food which is the reason for the 3-star review.
