The (legendary) Shed BBQ & Blues Joint has Indoor & Outdoor dining on the water with acres of space to run around, play and walk your furry family members. A Great stop off Interstate 10 in Mississippi to stretch and grab a snack when traveling down Interstate 10! The Shed is located ONLY a thousand yards North of I10 off Exit 57 (BBQ Heaven!). If you are heading East to West on Interstate 10 and passing through Mississippi, make sure to stop by! We pack for travel and ship nationwide on our website and at Goldbelly website. Visiting The Shed BBQ & Blues was an unexpected highlight of my time in Ocean Springs and a place that truly lives up to its legendary reputation. Even arriving on a Tuesday, when there was no live music scheduled, the restaurant was filled with music throughout the space, creating a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
I enjoyed The Combo, and it did not disappoint—flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what you hope for from a well-known Mississippi BBQ destination. I left very pleased and already looking forward to a return visit. The staff and overall vibe made the experience feel relaxed and genuine.
As a photographer, one of my favorite parts of The Shed was exploring and photographing the incredible collection of vintage Americana that covers nearly every surface. The décor is layered with history, personality, and nostalgia, and walking through the space genuinely made me reminisce about my childhood. It’s a visual experience as much as it is a culinary one.
Between the food, the music, and the unforgettable atmosphere, The Shed BBQ & Blues is a must-visit in Ocean Springs. I would return without hesitation and highly recommend it to travelers, photographers, and anyone looking for authentic Southern BBQ paired with one of the most unique dining environments on the Gulf Coast.

The brisket was good, the ribs were good, but the chicken was were too dry (wings). With that aspect I would not say my bill was surely not worth 82 dollars. The sides were good. The people were great. The atmosphere felt very comforting and welcoming. But was very disappointed in the chicken wings. Overall great for everything else. We didn’t get a chance to stay today for their blues band that was sitting up as we were leaving. If we had time would’ve been nice to see how the band was. I would recommend eating here just STAY AWAY FROM THE WINGS.

On a recommendation from a trusted foodie friend I tried The Shed BBQ and Blues Joint! Loved it! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was so fun! There was a lot happening there with the playground, several outside sitting areas, oyster shed and awesome decor! Definitely recommend if you’re in the Ocean Springs, MS area!

Outstanding BBQ! The pulled pork was amazing, brisket tasty with a nice crust and the MS made sausage very good. 2 slices of bread with your meal made for getting that sauce up Their BBQ sauce is tasty with a little spice. The collard greens had the right amount of vinegar and were very good. Lots of awards!

It’s been over 14 years since I was last on the MS coast. Flavors just as good as I remembered. Ribs and brisket were a little dry, but not tough.

Loved it !!! Excellent bbq ! Great friendly staff ! Coolest atmosphere! Outside and in! Dog friendly! So fun and eclectic! So much to see and buy! Super fun and welcoming! Loved the outdoor seating by the water and the beautiful sunset from the porch highly recommended stopping here ! Great photos to be had !

I ordered the baby back rib plate with two sides baked beans and potato salad and everything was delicious. The ribs were tender, flavorful, and literally falling off the bone. The baked beans were tasty with just the right touch of sweetness, and the potato salad was creamy. I also tried the bread pudding, which was moist and absolutely hit the spot. Overall, a great meal, and I would definitely come back!

The shot is a very well known barbecue joint in south Mississippi. Quirky atmosphere gravel floors but it’s a lot of fun. The food was pretty good. We had the brisket and pulled pork and they were both delicious. I think the sauce that they put on it is a little sweet for my taste but otherwise pretty good. The fries were good.
