Skyy was fantastic very funny and helpful, we went a few days ago during the slow season, so we weren’t expecting much but the beer was cold, the food we had was great! Mussels with the garlic butter Yumm!! Salad, salmon, mussels, chips and salsa, also some of the best dill ranch I’ve ever had!
The pizza we got to take home was meh, but we had a great experience it was just the two of us and Skyy so very peaceful and relaxing!

Middle Cross Ranch
First time at this establishment. First impressions coming in were: unique atmosphere, good service. We were seated almost immediately in an empty dining room. More diners trickled in throughout our meal. The server was friendly and accommodating. We ordered iced tea and the Bang Bang shrimp appetizer. The shrimp was indeed a wonderful choice, it was absolutely delicious! A solid 8.5 out of 10 there!
I ordered the salmon with a cucumber dill glaze served on the side. This came with a baked potato and a salad. The salmon was okay but not as firm as I prefer. The glaze didn’t do it for me. I would rate the salmon a 5 out of 10. The baked potato was okay, nothing wrong with that. The salad itself was great, I had ordered it with the house ranch which was not that great in my opinion.
My wife a burger with onion petals, which was the special tonight. According to her, the burger was great! I did try the onion petals and I thought they were a bit overcooked. The waitress recommended some kind of hot sauce dip for the petals. I’m not sure what it was called but that stuff was awesome!
Overall a good experience, and I would certainly recommend the place.

The Shebang is the closest place to eat for guests staying at The Funky Monkey Inn. We ended up eating here after another lakeside bar we wanted to try was closed and another too busy.
A fun place that has a bordello type feel in terms of theme, it’s popular with locals. I can’t say much about the food since we only ordered a pizza while having cocktails. There could be all kinds of things that are well made since the menu offers house specialty chicken, pork and shrimp in addition to popular appetizers and pasta dishes, burgers, and salads.
Pizzas come in sizes baby, mama and papa. (S, M, L) We got a Baby Meaty. (short for “The Meaty Foursome” with Canadian bacon, Italian sausage, pepperoni and ground beef. Hit the spot for what we needed at this time. Drinks have good pours and the bar stock has a decent variety.
The Shebang is large inside, with multiple dining areas, a stage for performances, an event room, the bar, and sitting rooms. For entertainment they offer pool tables, dancing and karaoke and other games. The regulars in the low lit intimate bar were friendly after we struck up a conversation with them. They hope to see us again and they just might.

If I could rate a negative star I sure would. To start there was a group of us and I did not pick this place. The spinach artichoke dip the Cesar salad was dreadful so much dressing the hamburger steak only the hamburger was good the mashed potatoes are instant the gravy is instant the bread is the worst you could’ve thrown it against the brick wall and put a hole in the brick and the bad part is there was so much butter on it that you would think the bread would absorb some but it just ran off the bread. The service we had to go get someone to get a glass of sweet tea. Never did a manager come out and apologize for the wait it the service. I for the life of me don’t see how this place has been open for 40 years like one of the other reviews said they had been coming here for over 40 years and how bad it has become. Picture of the bread

We told the waitress it was our first time there. So you’d think they would take care of us and impress us. I ordered an all meat pizza and my wife ordered chicken fettuccini pasta. The pizza came out looking over cooked.. it’s already a thin crust pizza. There was virtually no sauce on it. Looked dry and the cheese was browned (burned). I ate a few slices and took the rest to go. My wife’s pasta wasn’t very good. The server didn’t come back to refill our drinks or check on us very often.
There was live music playing which was cool, but the food wasn’t worth the money spent. I didn’t say anything to the manager or send the food back. Wouldn’t want them doing anything to the new food that came out.

The only good thing I can say about this place is the waitress was nice. The food was appalling and bordering on inedible. The pizza made people sick and all the food came out in 20 minute increments (we were a party of 12). If I could give negative stars I would.

If you don’t read any other review, please read this one. Do not put any ducks in this basket. I promise you will regret it. We were warned going in by people coming out and boy were they ever right. Do not waste your time here or big shots. Go to McDonald’s and back to the room.
