Founded in 2011 by Chef Tom, The Shark Shack has been serving up fresh, flavorful seafood with a side of fun. In 2018, his daughter Taylor and son-in-law Jeremy bought the shack to begin their own legacy with their 4 young children. We offer fried, grilled, or blackened seafood (& other American dishes for the non-seafood lovers-we won’t judge ) in a laid-back, family-friendly outdoor setting. There’s something for everyone—including a play area with cornhole and toys. Leashed pets are always welcome, and we offer local craft brews as well as your original favorite beers. Our food is fast, fresh, and full of flavor. Built on faith, family, and food, we’re grateful to serve our community—one bite at a time.

The Shark shack is my favorite go to spot when vacationing @ Atlantic Beach. The food is always delish and of the best quality. I absolutely love the fish bites “grouper” and potato salad. It’s a total beach vibe with all the inviting colors and outdoor dining. Being able to sit down and eat there when the food comes out hot and fresh is a win! The staff is so friendly. And the fact that they love Jesus like I do makes it even more welcoming.

Shark Shack is always a winner! We make it a point to stop here every year when we come to Atlantic Beach. We usually order several baskets and split them as a family. Our favorites include the fish bites, shrimp, and calamari. The outdoor space is family-friendly, with a few picnic tables and even a bean bag toss game. Our 9-month-old son loved the fish bites, and our 4- and 6-year-old daughters enjoyed the food too. Just be sure to check their hours before you go, especially if you’re visiting in the off season. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the area!

Fantastic food. I’m so happy we stopped here. The fish bites were delicious and the small plate was exactly the perfect size for our 1 year old. The portions are excellent for the price – it’s definitely a good value for your money. The sauces were really good – we loved the remoulade. I would absolutely recommend going to eat here!

Shark Shack is our favorite go to at Atlantic Beach, North Carolina!! It’s a tradition for all of us every year we about 40+ of my family vacations the 3rd week of August and the trip wouldn’t be complete without a couple trips to the Shark Shack!!! I am a fish Reuben junkie but my hubby loves the seafood tacos my kids like the wraps and tacos too. Always fresh and delicious. Wish I was there right now. We usually go early in the week like Monday and then before we head home to Pa like on Saturday. My families each have their own traditions of visiting but everyone stops at one or two points of their trip. Make it part of your tradition too you won’t regret it

Delicious simple food, something for everyone on the menu. Staff were helpful and kind. They were out of Mahi, so staff suggested the blackened grouper for my tacos, and it did not disappoint!

Stopped by this place in early May. Very friendly and personable staff set the tone right away. Liked the outdoor setting and how it was closed in with plenty of room and toys for our 4 year old to play. Ordered a local beer from the numerous local and regional beers listed on their menu. My grilled grouper tacos were excellent, as were the lightly breaded fish bites. Portions were generous too. Their spicy breaded cauliflower was a miss, but everything else more than made up for it.

Shark Shack in Atlantic Beach is a must-stop if you’re on the Crystal Coast. Super fresh seafood, great casual beach vibe, and the fish tacos were fantastic. Quick service, friendly staff, and perfect for an easy lunch or dinner after the beach. We’ll definitely be back!

We were on vacation at Atlantic Beach and went to The Shark Shack for lunch. All of their seafood is caught fresh, and you can definitely tell with the taste and quality of their food. I ordered the buffalo shrimp and hush puppies. They gave a ton of food in one order. Had we known that, my husband and I would have shared a meal. The food was delicious, however a bit pricey for fast food. It was almost $40 for two combo meals and two drinks.
We thought it was very nice that this restaurant offers highly discounted meals for law enforcement, first responders, and military. They also have a program where you can buy a meal in advance for a service member. They have some chairs set up outside however seating can be limited, especially if you go during prime time lunch rush. It was more than I was expecting to pay for a quick meal, but we would probably come back here if we vacation in Atlantic Beach again. The staff is very friendly and the establishment has a nice local vibe.

I can’t wait for Shark Shack to open! It has been a long winter. My birthday is on March 15th and it would be the best gift to have my name drawn. I have tried almost everything on the menu and I have loved it all!
