What a treat! We came to the Shack for our 7th wedding anniversary and had the best time. The fish was excellent…squid, scallops, prawns, oysters, crabs, muscles…all were amazing. A lovely atmosphere with welcoming, friendly staff. Reasonably priced considering the quality of the food. You have to book, we watched so many people being turned away. Thank you for a great experience. We highly recommend a visit 🙂

After trying to eat here on our first wander around Falmouth and to find it fully booked, we went online and found a table at lunch time a few days later. Result!
Super glad we went as the food was stunning. My friends had the crab sandwich and I had the dressed Cornish crab – freshly caught that morning. I had no idea dressed crab could taste that good. It was perfect!
Being a little hungover we asked if they served Bloody Mary’s and thankfully Max our waiter had a winning recipe at hand. It was definitely one of the best, perfectly spiced Bloody Mary’s I’ve ever had – and I’ve had a lot. So that was a brilliant cherry at the top of an already excellent cake for our experience at The Shack.

An absolutely brilliant experience! My partner and I had the oyster, dressed crab with salad and aioli sauce, and the haddock and chips which were absolutely delicious. You could tell the ingredients were freshly prepared and the dishes were full of flavour. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Good value for money. Would come back again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We just went to the Shack last night for our 10th wedding anniversary. We were overwhelmed by the exceptional service the gentleman provided. They made our 10th anniversary especially memorable. We tried to say thanks again before we left but the gentleman was too busy back by the kitchen and we were rushing for a movie.
My husband’s steak was cooked to perfection. The amount of my seafood starter and main were so generous! I was so full. I loved their homemade seafood dip which was so tasty. I personally would love more flavour with the mussels and the whole crab. But they were still very nice. I’ll definitely try the seafood platter for 2/3 to share when we bring our girls next time because my husband doesn’t eat seafood!
Anyway, thanks so much for being a highlight of our 10th anniversary!

Our first meal in Cornwall and certainly one of the most memorable, service was amazing and the staff were so accommodating, we sat outside since it was a full house inside but asked to move tables closer to the entrance of the restaurant where it was a bit warmer and they gave us blankets too.
We ordered the seafood platter for 3 and an extra side of calamari and was concerned it wasn’t going to be enough but we were oh so wrong – this magnificent spread of seafood could feed 4 easily as we couldn’t even finish it and had to take some home.
Everything was just so delicious, especially the scallops and mussels in white wine sauce and the huge crab which was briny and meaty.
You definitely get your moneys worth coming here, and will leave happily stuffed!
We will visit again when we come back to Cornwall!

Great place to eat. Glad to see they are still Covid aware (their face masks were sea themed ) Beware you better be hungry if you order the seafood platter. There’s loads of it! Great experience!

We had the tastiest lunch here. Smoked haddock and bacon chowder with gluten free bread, dressed crab and chips. Good portion sizes for the price and everything was just so yummy. Little cosy restaurant and staff were friendly and helpful . Nice views of the harbour too
