Tremendous cheeseburger – fresh cooked, good quality meat, so tasty. Best burger I’ve had in a long time.
Fries were hit, crispy and delicious.
Caramel shake thick and smooth with a great caramel flavor.
Everything was freshly cooked but quickly- no excessive wait. Friendly helpful staff.
The Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food.
It’s almost impossible to get a 5 Star Review out of me, but “The Shack” earns one!!!!@
(The only downside- they don’t take debit or credit cards ….. So bring Cash)

Looked for to eating here ,heard alot of good things about it from my Mrs who’s been coming here many years. Walked in not to busy spoke to the gentle at the front got menus , then got completely ignored until we got up and left without even as much as a drink ……..

Our first visit, and boy, did they deliver! Wonderful service, delicious food, and a cute little picnic table in the shade to enjoy our meal.

Somehow $40 for 2 people for 2 drinks, a 2 piece catfish basket and a chicken basket (not including tip). Food was ok… coleslaw was good. We asked for okra to be extra crispy but it wasnt. I guess we were a bit disappointed especially when the check came. We won’t be back as there are too many other places we prefer but glad we tried it.

This place is check or cash only, no cards accepted. The second time back we made sure to have cash. Food was pretty good and came out fairly qiuck. Service was friendly.

My husband and I decided to take a little road trip down hwy 7 south. We decided it was time for lunch and ran across The Shack, a quaint little dinner right on hwy across from Jessieville School. When we entered we were greeted and told to sit where we liked and our server would be right there. She was there in a moment with menus and took our drink order. We had decided what we wanted pretty quickly and was ready to give our food order as soon as she returned with our drinks. We both ordered the Shack burger w/cheese and an order of onion rings. It didn’t take too long to receive our meal. They were served wrapped in paper with the tooth pick on top and the onion rings were in the little paper trays; simple and no frills. It smelled delicious and when I took a bite it melted in my mouth. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were fresh and flavorful. The bun was dressed with mayo and mustard. The patty was fresh not frozen and you could tell was hand pressed. This is one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. The onion rings were crispy on the outside and tender and sweet in the center. Also one of the best onion rings I’ve ever had. The service was great and staff very friendly. The price was marginally higher than a fast food restaurant but well worth it. The only regret is that I was too full for desert. I see me and my husband driving the 50+ miles just to eat there again.

Best spot to stop on the scenic 7 bypass. The burgers have just the right amount of grease and the fries are crispy to perfection. Cashier suggested the hot fudge peanut butter milkshake and she gets 10 stars because it was incredible.
