Top notch hamburger steak with peppers and onions! Today I tried the Shack in colonial heights and man was my taste buds dazzled. To accompany my steak, I chose the twice baked potato and bbq baked beans—both were excellent. Everything came out hot and fast! As soon as I sat down my waitress was attentive and eager to serve. Thank you and I’ll be back to the Shack!

Friendly place with fantastic food. The burgers are wonderful, and the service is like family. This is where you want to come and relax and enjoy a good meal with people you enjoy. The Angus was perfect, and the fries were crisp. If I am back in town, I will definitely eat here again.

My wife picked up a Cuban sandwich from this place. I’m from Miami and am obligated to try every Cuban sandwich from every restaurant I visit. I’ve been to about 5 different places and gave them all a try. Having said that, this place has the BEST and most AUTHENTIC Cubano sandwich I’ve had while living in Tennessee.

BBQ was smoky and fantastic. The Swiss shroom burger was great. Friendly regulars. Great service! I came in a second time a week later and had the pork quesadilla and it wowed me! Highly recommend trying it!

I stopped here for some takeout while visiting the area. The food was terrific! I ordered Dakota wings and a side of mustard greens. Both were super-tastey. Atmosphere seemed really fun, so will bring friends and stay a while next time.

Tried The Shack for the 1st time today. Service was great! The pulled pork was moist & tender. They offered a tangy/sweet red sauce and a creamy white sauce that contains just the right amount of spice with a peppery kick that lingers on the back of the tongue. Both sauces are delicious on their own but combined they make a creamy & tangy sauce that makes every bite scrumptious!
It was no problem finishing the plate and I can’t wait to sample more from their menu on future visits!

Well I was very disappointed. Now I have to say the baked potato and baked beans were awesome. The pulled pork was ok, passable but there were just things I can’t ignore. The coleslaw had a weird off taste, the fries were soggy and hard, don’t know how they did that. The chicken was unseasoned and dry. Also, I completely get the themed thing but letting the bathrooms get to such a state of filth is just gross. I actually stuck to the floor. I was really surprised to see quite a few there, not eating but just drinking beer. It seems to be a local hang out. Plastic plates for a $100 meal? But i gotta say the waitress was awesome!! Bless her heart. I really wanted to find a great new spot but I can do way better at home. Oh, turn the music down a few notches the waitress kept saying WHAT? Calling Gordon Ramsey.

Local Kingsport spot that had been around for 15 to 20 years. Small, but just perfect for family and friends. They have a small bar with a couple of tvs and about 10 seats. They have a patio and outdoor eating area with umbrellas for the hot dinner days. The food was good and service was incredibly quick and consistent from all staff. Would recommend the wings and bbq and definitely give them a try!
