Went in during peak dinner time. Took about 10 minutes to us to be seated
We ordered calamari and blackened salmon with pasta. The calamari was very fresh. The batter is homemade. It’s fried to perfect crispyness.
The salmon tasted excellent as well.
Portion was enough to share between 2 of us. Luckily the server didn’t hear my initial order or else we would end up with a lot of leftover
Would definitely come back here again as they serve sushi and other delicious dishes as well

Pickerel special was delicious, but it was actually the puréed cauliflower underneath that stole the show! Hubby’s VERY happy with his lobster bisque (gluten-free) and paella. Too full for dessert, so I time the Biscoff cheesecake to go – NO REGRETS!! It was a busy Saturday evening, and flow service was good, but the kitchen was definitely backed up and dragged a bit too long. Would definitely go again.

It is for the first time when eating in this magnificent restaurant it is small and full of charm the decoration reminds us of the sea the fish like the restaurants in an old and rustic port the welcome was excellent the top service and the icing on the cake the food we took two paella and fish and delicious chips especially the spicy paella for the drinks they offer with alcohol but they made us two superb non-alcoholic drinks thanks to the whole team in the room and also to the chef we will return.

I really like The Seafood Grill—it’s perhaps one of my favourite seafood spots around in Ottawa. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. Although the portion was not the biggest for its price (I got the paella and two spring rolls, which ended up around 50 dollars for me), they were filling, and the seafood ingredients were very solid.
The paella was super delicious, especially the chorizo sausage bits. They were bursting with flavour, which really complements the other seafood. My friend got the Tony’s Bouillabaisse, which I thought was delicious too (although I don’t think she liked it all that much).
The spring rolls were super yummy. They were fried to crispy perfection and filled with steaming hot shrimp, crab bits, and lettuce. It was super fun to eat, too.
My favourite thing about The Seafood Grill was how freshly cooked every single dish was. All three dishes came out steaming hot, which I knew they had prepared freshly in the back. All seafood restaurants should do it like The Seafood Grill as the gold standard.
I think I’ll be back next time I’m in town, especially if I can visit the Kanata area. I really want to try their fish and chips and all the other dishes.

Great little spot for seafood in town. The fried smelts were seasoned well and came with a nice seafood sauce for dipping. Also had the mussels and frites. The frites were crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Very good!

How had we not eaten here before?! We loved our experience at the Seafood Grill. The interior feels intimate and is a nice mix of rustic and modern. The staff was so attentive, kind, and provided us with excellent recommendations from the menu. We tried the calamari, spring roll, clam chowder, bouillabaisse, and haddock fish and chips. The meal was outstanding, with the bouillabaisse being the standout and the spring roll the weak link, though it was still good. We are excited to return in order to try the sushi menu, available Wednesday to Saturday.

2025- we had the fish sandwich and overall it was good but heavy from the oil. The location feels run down inside and the fish market is really small.

Problem is, the service is slow and the server never returned for drink refills (pop or beer). Need to wave down the server for anything needed.
The server asked us if we wanted bread only after we got our food and then the hot bread arrived when we were pretty much done eating.
The bill arrived after we asked and it took aprox. 5-10 minutes to get them to return with the machine for payment.

the parking here is absolutely horrible on a busy day.
the food is great.. however it looks like they care about regulars over anyone else, someone who came in over 30mins after my boyfriend and I had ordered same as I did, servers ran to serve him right away…he got his first, and when my tables food came out my meal was hot, but my boyfriends was cold. clearly not timed well, or my plate was given to someone else and had to be remade.

My family have eaten at this little restaurant for so many years and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and tasty. The sushi is great too. You can also order special grills that are not in the menu. I love the service here! Everyone looks happy and friendly. It is rare to see this type of old-fashioned restaurant service nowadays! The restaurant does not take reservation and is usually busy so you may have to wait. The only thing that is not perfect is parking as there are not enough parking spots.
