Loved, loved, loved this place!! The staff was super friendly and incredibly attentive, they even gave us spot-on recommendations. The inside is so cool, designed like a Scottish castle with swords, tartan, and family crests lining the walls. There are separate rooms for pool and darts, and the whole place has an awesome vibe with tons of seating. The food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were surprisingly great for the quality and experience. We’re already planning our second visit in just a couple of days! Highly recommend!

Beautiful space with a good amount of seating, and seating at the gorgeous bar. Pool table in a room near the entrance. Live Celtic music on the Sunday afternoon I was there. Just lovely! The food was delicious, corned beef egg rolls and my special drink, eggnog with whisky was very tasty! Excellent attentive staff!!

Points for their beer list, but the fish and chips were anything but proper.
I ordered a pint of Tennant’s and the small fish and chips for a total of $25.76 without the tip. The atmosphere of this place is very cozy and I can see it would be a great music venue. But the food is definitely lacking from what I had. The fish was rolled and then battered almost like some kind of sushi roll. The batter was OK, but there was more better than fish . I asked the waitress and she said it was “fresh Atlantic haddock” but she’s “not sure where they get it from” and she wasn’t sure why they rolled it up. The chips were more like slices of potatoes, fried. I ate a couple and left them . The mushy peas were very unpalatable and I’m sure they serve them only because they thought they’d be “authentic” to just mash up some peas. The coleslaw really didn’t add anything. I didn’t eat them just tasted them. The bottle of malt vinegar and the salt and pepper were extremely sticky and could use with a wipe down. When I expressed my concerns to the waitress, she was very nice and said “oh yes”, but offered no compensation. Will not return. In the photo I’ve included what proper fish and chips look like in Scotland and what I was served here. Sad, because I really wanted to like this pub and drove two hours to try it.

Man, I don’t think there’s a bad thing to say about this place. Fantastic food, great drink selection and awesome decor and vibe. The staff was attentive but not overbearing. Everyone working checked in on us but you didn’t feel bothered. You felt like they appreciated you being there. Highly recommend trying the poutine with whatever else you decide to get. There’s no doubt that every time we come to Waynesville we will be stopping here.

We ordered some delicious food to go after some great beer. Atmosphere was amazing but not kids friendly (its a pub). We definitely recommend this place! It took 3 days to finish the creme brulee cheesecake!

We have come to the Scotsman several times. I’m pretty picky, so it’s wonderful to really enjoy what I order. I got something different (for me) this time. Chicken Schnitzel. It was so good. And I loved the mashed potatoes and gravy and the garlicky green beans, too. So much food! I brought 2/3 of it home! We got a crème brulée cheesecake to go, we’ve had it before. That is something I cannot imagine one person eating. The food comes out of the kitchen sooo quickly. We had 3 staff members wait on us. Such a great pub. Unfortunately, we only live 5 minutes away. This might get dangerous!

First time eating here and it won’t be the last. Party of 5 and we all ordered a different dish and no one left disappointed.
The smash burger was one of the best I’ve had and the fish and chips were excellent. The braised Ox Cheek was pretty good as was the half chicken and the fried shrimp and chips.
The decor was awesome as was the atmosphere.
Definitely will be stopping in again when we visit!

Slipping through here and saw this place and had to go. Wife loved the fish n chips, she said the mushy pees were amazing. And that’s good coming from her.
Best chicken pot pie I’ve had in a long time. Bartender was wonderful, not posting her name for privacy of course.
Thank you for the hospitality, amazing music and atmosphere.
Do yourself a favor and try this place.

We stopped in for an early dinner, and there wasn’t much of a crowd.
We were seared immediately. The menu has a good selection of items. They also had a good beverage selection.
My wife had roasted chicken, that she is still praising. I had the poutine appetizer. It was tasty, and a large enough that I brought home half of it. My wife brought home a quarter of a chicken.
I can’t wait go back to try other meals.
