Our waitress, Emma, was kind, attentive, and happy to help us with split checks, which we really appreciated. The food was excellent—everything came out hot, and we ordered four different plates to share. For dessert, we split a slice of cheesecake, and it may have been one of the best I’ve ever had.
If you like espresso martinis, this is definitely the place to get one (or 3 ). Each drink was clearly made with care, looked beautiful, and was very smooth and easy to drink. We ended up staying a while chatting, and when the next reservation arrived, an employee kindly let us know and offered to move us to the bar with a complimentary glass of champagne, saying she understood how important mom nights out are. The hospitality was outstanding.
We can’t wait to come back.✨
The personalized experience starts with the reservation. I tried to book for Valentine’s Day online about a month in advance. Nothing was showing available online, so I texted (as they had requested for contact) and they were happy to make the reservation for us.
There is no dedicated parking lot, so parking is on the street or at public lots around town.
The moment you walk in the door and are greeted warmly, you know this is going to be a special place. The decor is upscale but not snobby. It’s small (reservations are recommended) and not noisy, so you can have an easy conversation. Even the paper hand towels in the bathroom are high quality.
Everything was decked out for Valentine’s Day, with the Leonardo DiCaprio movie “Romeo & Juliet” showing on a loop on a screen. They took my coat and sat us in a cozy, romantic corner with comfy pillows. Every table had a personalized notecard thanking you for coming. Next came the complimentary glasses of champagne.
My husband likes Old Fashioneds and enjoyed the “Let’s Smash” drink. My pink sangria tasted a little like a watermelon Jolly Ranger, but was good.
Now let me tell you about the food. We have eaten out in a lot of expensive places, and the quality ranks with the best of them. My husband devoured the smothered chicken. I had the harvest cavatappi with shrimp added, and it was incredible (even with more black pepper than I usually prefer). The bowl was so huge I was able to make two more meals out of the leftovers. We weren’t really hungry enough for dessert, but that didn’t stop us from inhaling the salted caramel crunch cake. I have favorite desserts, but it was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever had (complete with gold leaf)!
The service was absolutely perfect: completely attentive without being overbearing. The owner does events and puts his talents to work with the decorations that change with the holidays. He went around to several tables to make sure everything was satisfactory.
The perfect night was rounded out with the Hershey’s kisses that came with the bill. So many thoughtful touches! I’m telling everyone how great this place is, and counting the days until we return with friends.
(Side note: we went to an exclusive speakeasy in Philadelphia last year that was unbelievably pretentious and we had an appalling experience. In comparison, I never thought there would be a place this nice right here close to home in Rochester, NH!)

What a stunning spot to meet up with the girls for cocktails, celebrate a birthday, or plan a cozy date night. We didn’t get a chance to try the food this time (my very picky mom was with us), but we did sample a few cocktails from the menu—and they were awesome.
The whole atmosphere makes you want to dress up and go out for dinner. It’s got that elevated, grown-up energy that’s hard to find in most places around here—such a great vibe for the ladies!
The space is beautifully designed, with private seating areas, a big king’s table for larger groups, and thoughtful little touches like a personalized reservation card and a thank-you note from the team. That kind of detail goes a long way.
One of the best parts? You can make reservations for the bar as well as the dining area. My husband and I often want to sneak away for a quick cocktail without the kids, but we’re usually out of luck when the bar is packed. This setup changes the game.
Can’t wait to come back and finally try the food.
Bravo, Scenic Lounge—what a fantastic addition to the town!
We were greeted by a very friendly young lady named Kat, who also became our server. We were immediately impressed by the Art Deco vibe and decorations. A short time later, Kat returned and took our drink orders. We each ordered craft cocktails, which were excellently prepared. Kat asked us if we had been there before, and when we said we hadn’t been, she offered us each a glass of champagne! Nice touch!
Soon after ordering our meals, the co-owner, Jan came over to chat with us. She was delightful and very friendly and made us feel welcome and appreciated.
The food soon arrived, and it was delicious! We had the hummus platter, and a flatbread that was excellent! Both had VERY fresh ingredients and were prepared flawlessly. Following dinner, we had Tiramisu for dessert and it was delicious!
Kat was a wonderful and very attentive server throughout the meal. All in all, we were super impressed, and despite the long ride from home, we will be back soon!!
