Last night of restaurants week in KC: We were able to procure the small private dining room which was both comfy and quiet. We had the price fixed menu. My hangar steak was excellent and I would highly recommend it. Our waiter was attentive along with all of the wait staff. The separate dining room made it very easy for us to have conversation. When we go to a nice restaurant I often think it’s good but not worth the money. Not so tonight; A good value for the money. A nice experience for us!

We had a wonderful dinner at The Savoy! The ambiance is dark, cozy, and perfect for a relaxed night out. We started with the apple sage arancini and oysters, then had the mushroom risotto and lobster crab gnocchi. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor.
Savannah provided exceptional service. She never rushed us (which we really appreciate as foodies who love to linger) and even asked if we’d like to wait a bit before our main course. She also shared great cocktail bar recommendations for after dinner exploration, as it was our first time in KC. Safe to say it won’t be our last, experiences like this make a city memorable!

Another great evening spent at the Savoy. I’ve been here a few times now with my wife and with business colleagues. Each time has been a great experience. The Savoy has a great atmosphere and menu that has been serving people for decades. Through ownership changes and remodeling it’s still managed to maintain its charm and appeal. I recommend sitting at the bar and ordering a few drinks. The bartenders are great and they have a good happy hour menu. For lunch or dinner there’s no bad table in the place, but if you can get it, you should try to sit in the presidential booth. This hotel was a favorite spot for Truman, and has also seen the likes of presidents Regan Ford and Harding. Allegedly the presidential booth was Truman’s favorite. And if you like history, make sure to look up the ninth Street incline and eighth Street tunnel. They were both a big part of Kansas City’s history, delivering people from Union Depot in the West Bottoms to the downtown Kansas City business district. The Savoy was one of the first (and best) hotels people would come across when visiting. Well-known names like Rockefeller and Will Rogers would top the list of famous guests.

We had an excellent experience at The Savoy! We were with friends for a joint anniversary dinner. Our server Julian was so attentive and seemed genuinely delighted to be part of our celebration. We all enjoyed the atmosphere, and were seated in a cozy high backed booth that made for easy conversation, although the restaurant was already pretty quiet on a Sunday evening.
Amongst our table we had a variety of cocktails and a mix of entrees including the poached salmon, smash burger and cacio e pepe, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. We also decided to split a bottle of wine for the table and though none of us are wine connoisseurs, we had a great time chatting with the sommelier Alex who led us to an excellent bottle that fit the bill perfectly.
Great atmosphere, great food, great service

It was my first time at the Savoy and the restaurant itself was very cool. Even on a Sunday during Brunch, the lighting was low and the dark wood paneling and original murals above them evoked an older speakeasy vibe. The food was very good and so were the mixed drinks. Reservations are recommended as it is a smaller restaurant with not a lot of seating, but it would make a very good date night destination.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — “Stunning atmosphere, delicious food, perfect for date night”
The Savoy completely blew us away! This restaurant is absolutely stunning — from the historical charm of the hotel to the modern touches that hint at recent renovations (we were told it’s under new ownership). The ambiance was perfect for a happy hour or date night — classy, cozy, and inviting.
We started with their espresso martinis, which were perfectly balanced and had a unique lime-orange twist. Delicious! I ordered the burger, which was cooked to perfection, and we finished with the carrot cake served with ice cream — hands down one of the best desserts I’ve had in a while. Everything tasted homemade and thoughtfully prepared.
We did try the dates from the happy hour menu, but they weren’t our favorite. The server graciously comped the dish without hesitation, which we really appreciated. The service was top-notch — friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing.
Surprisingly, the place was nearly empty for a Thursday afternoon, but we chalked that up to people heading out early for the holidays. Either way, we’re definitely coming back. The Savoy has everything — great food, great drinks, great vibes. Highly recommend!

Had dinner and had the Brussel Sprouts for appetizer – loved the crispy bacon. Then had mushroom risotto and spaghetti with meat sauce. Pasta is made in house the spaghetti was the winner of the two.

I went here for a company dinner. We reserved the lounge space that also had tables set up. We had a special menu where we picked 2 courses. The food was ok but it all came out so slow. After along day, we waited so long for the food to come out. The service was also ok and they accommodated all dietary needs!

Enjoyed The Savoy. Food, Service and atmosphere were spot on. Food was very good although the hanger steak was not very hot but cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The arancini was amazing as were the dinner rolls and duck fat fries. Winter salad also excellent. Cacio e Pepe was good but not our favorite. Spaghetti bolognese is the way to go if you want pasta. Will definitely go back.
