Took me 45 mins to get a rib plate with 2 people ahead of me, the spice was excellent , had a great smoke flavor but the ribs were not very tender. The baked beans were delicious had flavors of I think brisket it was good, the Mac was not so much a little dry and chewy.

Great food. Dee Anderson is one of the true pit masters in the Fort Worth area. They definitely know how to please the customer. The menu is full and whatever you’re tasting…they have it. The conversation was good and they seem to know all of their customers. I’ll be back and I recommend you try them out…you won’t be disappointed I promise this boy can cook!

Food was not the same experience, I had from when they were on mccart ave I could tell it’s a different cook. The grease smelled funny. The chicken had a fishy taste and so did the cabbage best thing was green beans and macaroni and cheese. The Mac and cheese stingy portion given out. Just not the same fresh good ole soul food taste.

Imma be honest this is not BBQ at all. This is more like oven cooked meats. The brisket and ribs have no smoke ring. There is an extreme lack of flavor where I needed BBQ sauce just to make this edible. The only redeeming thing was the sides and they were just one level of tasting like they were store bought.
I don’t know whose in the back cooking the meats but they need to get him or her far away from the grill. This is the main reason why I don’t believe in buying other people’s BBQ. Cause I can do leaps and bounds better than this. If y’all are going to continue to be in business there needs to be swift improvement

Food was okay. Brisket had wayyy too much fat and it was tough. I will say that I saw two other customers order the brisket and theirs looked much more lean than mine. It was our first time here and we won’t be returning. Thanks.

The customer service was terrible and rude especially the older woman working the register. We ordered for the our family of four and everyone plate had an issue. Husband and I oxtail tasted old and rubbery, youngest mash potatoes was hard and couldn’t stir them, but my oldest son was eating the corn bread and found a coil spring in the middle. So thankful he didn’t swallow it. Tried calling them the phone just rings and go to voice-mail. Then the voice-mail is too full to leave a message.

I’m not sure where all of the 5 star ratings are coming from because this is definitely not a 5 star restaurant. And I love supporting black business but this is not it..
I was not greeted at all when I came into the restaurant.
There was a buffet advertised but there was no buffet when I arrived. Probably a covid change, but still.
Mary took my order and it seemed like working in that restaurant caused her physical pain. She was so rude. I couldn’t believe how rude she was. She constantly rolled her eyes.
The menu says you get four sides but Mary very rudely informed me that you only get three.
I was fighting flies the whole time I was there AND there were dead flies on the window sill beside the table I was sitting at.
The young girl (nicknamed Nana) was very attentive & polite contrary to Mary. She deserves a raise or a better job.
Not going to lie. the food was sub par at best. The cabbage was ok. The cornbread was burned at the bottom. why? how do you get cornbread wrong…
The dressing was weird and it had hamburger meat in it or something. The macaroni and cheese was kinda watery. The potato salad was sad and warm.
The chicken fried chicken was bland and undercooked. I can’t remember what else we had. But it was overall a disappointing experience.
