A bastion of excellent cuisine, trapped in the liminal space between your dreams and thought. The flavors jump off the table and straight into the halls of infinity. This place feels like reliving a distant memory you can’t quite recall. This place, it’s food, it’s location, the execution, it is art.

Absolutely AMAZING place!! I got the Cuban special and half a grilled cheese – the food was to die for, and the service was just as so! I’m SUPER pregnant, and this establishment was just what the doctor ordered days before I deliver! Made me miss my cuban place back home in FL! Will absolutely order hundreds of times more! Thank you so much ya’ll! ❤️

Omg. Had the gabagool for myself, parents had the beefy horsey and the grilled cheese and we all had cheesy potato soup and we DEVOURED everything. It was all so good. I will dream about that gabagool sandwich forever. It was perfectly balanced, sweet, spicy, salty, and perfect crusty bread. Wow. Excellent. 10/10. Can’t wait to come back and try more things.

This place has become a regular dinner spot for us. The people are WONDERFUL and we love to order off the rotating/weekly menu because the specials are something unique and delicious… especially the soups!

I’ve been multiple times to The Sandwich Shoppe and have never been disappointed. I always go when the French dip is the special, but the Korean pulled pork is a second favorite! Danuel and Olivia put their heart and soul into their food and you can taste it!

Had been meaning to stop in for awhile and finally got around to it. Should have stopped earlier!! I got the Italian Job and I really enjoyed the sandwich! They said the bread is locally sourced and it is great! This was a big sandwich and a side of potato salad, well worth the money! Will be back to try more!

The sandwich bread and meat were to tough for my liking. I had to throw it outside to the wild animals. Way to expensive for my taste also. A ate the Lay’s bagged chips I got and the bread pudding which was ok. It was very bland and needed to have cinnamon added in it. I won’t be going back. In my opinion just a waste of time and money.

Finally had the chance to stop in and try this amazing food from Olivia and Daneul and oh my goodness, I’m so happy I did! Such a nice environment and amazing food combos. I live in Lawrence and I will be back for some more of that corn aioli for sure and can’t wait to try new things you guys come up with!

I’m new to the area, and as such am on the hunt for local hidden gems like this place. And by hidden gem, I mean I ordered ahead over the phone because I expected there to be a line out the door… to my surprise there were only two customers-and during peak dinner hours! Had a friendly conversation with the owner, and based purely on the interaction with him and the fact that it is locally owned and operated by the owner and his wife, I would be a returning customer… Now to the food, W-O-W. I had the gabagool and my friend had the Italian beef with au jus. Holy cow, the combination of the sweet onion jam, the salty meat, the spicy jalapeno (personally I would like the fresh variation so its hotter versus the pickled, but understandable since most people wouldnt agree) and the crunchy artisan bread is so darn good I have that phenonmen happening right now where the food is so good that it lingers in your mouth and you keep salivating. I really hope people will give this place a chance, because the people who run this place deserve your business, and I want to keep eating here!

Kind staff and yummy food. Staple menu is always reliable and tasty, seasonal menu is great for changing things up with some intesting items. Kids love the pbj and grilled cheese (picky eaters I know) but we all enjoy going.
