The Sandwich Board completely blew me away. I came hungry and left already planning my next visit. I tried the steak and potatoes sandwich and the Roti John with a hash brown added in between, and wow… both were on another level. The steak and potatoes was rich, hearty, and perfectly balanced, while the Roti John was an absolute flavor bomb — the hash brown took it over the top with that perfect crispy bite.
You can tell this place really cares about quality and flavor. Everything was cooked perfectly, stacked generously, and packed with bold, satisfying taste. It’s one of those spots where every bite makes you pause for a second because it’s just that good.
Honestly, this might be the best sandwich spot in New York. If you’re even remotely serious about sandwiches, The Sandwich Board is a must-try. I’ll be back… probably very soon.

Great music and great sandwiches! All sandwiches had tender meat and fresh toppings! Although the sandwiches are pretty dense, the potato bun sandwiches don’t get messy and fall apart. The kind of sandwiches I would eat walking down the street if I needed to and wouldn’t be too worried. The Yardbird on the texas toast bread, on the other hand, was being held together by the butchers paper and crumbled easily
They also have chips and drinks too! There is very limited seating, so be prepared to wait for a seat, eat on the go, or eat your sandwich somewhere else.

This is typical „new“ new york. Good service and consistent, high quality food at a steeper than usual price. But what sets this place apart is their unique sandwich combos. I personally get the Duck „Tsangwich“ when I come here and 2/2 times its been phenomenal

Grabbed the Mala Tsangwich and it was absolutely delicious. Great flavours and textures that balanced well with each other. My fiancé and I shared, so portion was just right for me. My fiance enjoyed it so much, we came back later in our trip to try their weekly rotating – Meatball Parm (Ginormous sandwhich with a dipping sauce, also very good).
Expect a 10-15 mins wait after ordering and depending on how busy it is, but reasurred your sandwhich is made fresh to order. Place your order from the outside window or inside. Standing tables available inside to eat and protect from the elements.
We’re not from NYC, but highly recommend visiting here and we’ll come back in the future. The creativity in their menu leaves us wanting to try more plus I was eyeing one of their desserts.

Great sandwiches, crispy chicken was superb. The guy working at the window was super friendly and had a great smile! I only wish the sandwich was larger because it was so tasty! Definitely a must visit!

I came here with my girlfriend and we had such a great experience. The atmosphere was super cozy and welcoming, with a chill vibe that made it easy to just relax and enjoy our time together. It felt clean, comfortable, and really well put together.
The mango green chai was honestly amazing. It was smooth, refreshing, and had the perfect balance of sweetness with that subtle tea flavor. You could really taste the mango without it being overpowering. It was easily one of the best drinks I have had in a while.
The man working behind the counter named Dee was the sweetest. He was so polite, welcoming, and made us feel really comfortable the whole time. You can tell he genuinely cares about customers. He definitely deserves a raise for how kind and professional he is. We will definitely be coming back.

Got the steak and potatoes and roti John. Both were honestly not as good as I was hoping.
The steak and potatoes was mainly hash brown. Very little pickled onion, chimichurri, or steak. The bread was not bad, but didn’t taste like garlic bread either.
The roti John curry was good, but there was not much egg.

Amazing experience thanks to Lucio!
We stopped by Sandwiches Board and had the absolute pleasure of meeting Lucio. From the moment we walked in, he made us feel welcome—he even asked where we were from and struck up the friendliest conversation. His energy is contagious, and he shared some awesome stories that made our visit feel personal and memorable.
Beyond being incredibly warm and genuine, he clearly loves what he does, and it shows in the experience he creates for customers. Lucio turned a simple stop for food into a highlight of our day.

Had the duck tsangwich which was served in a pineapple bun, which was really interesting and different. I really enjoyed it, although for just under $20, I expected it to be more filling. Will be back to try some others!
